UPAAS is a non-stock, non-profit association organized in 2003 for the primary purpose of bringing together the UP Alumni in various parts of Singapore. To foster continuous professional growth among the UP Alumni in Singapore, the UPAAS Professional Development Committee aims to increase the venues for learning and creativity through ample use of new media, interactive talks and networking strategies. Among its other intentions is to initiate collaboration and nurture relations between professional groups and other organizations. For 2012, The UPAAS Professional Development Committee has launched The Oblation Talk Series. The first of which Brewing The Right Mix: Key Ingredients to A Filipino's Success in the Workplace by F & N (Singapore) Director Mercy Corrales was conducted at the Republic Plaza on May 10, 2012.
