Deichbau und andere Küstenschutzmaßnahmen gehören zum Leben an der Nordsee - wie die Nordseekrabben. Seit fast 2.000 Jahren schützt sich die Bevölkerung an der Nordseeküste vor den Naturgewalten des Meeres. 2010 wurde das Messegebäude um das NordseeCongressCentrum erweitert und zu einem multifunktionalen Kongress- und Veranstaltungszentrum ausgebaut. Es gibt einen großen Saal mit modernster Technik, eine ca. 200 m² große Bühne mit Konzertmuschel und einen hochwertigen Parkettboden, der auch für elegante Bälle geeignet ist. Für Seminare und Tagungen stehen 6 – 8 Seminarräume mit neuester Technik zur Verfügung. Das lichtdurchflutete Foyer ist über 1.500 m² groß und kann durch Trennwände individuell angepasst werden. Das gesamte NordseeCongressCentrum ist rollstuhlgerecht, barrierefrei und verfügt über ein induktives sowie taktiles Leitsystem. Die helle Messehalle ist besonders gut für Produktpräsentationen geeignet. Über einen Durchgang gelangt man direkt ins NordseeCongressCentrum.
The NordseeCongressCentrum was built in 2010 to extend the existing exhibition building into a multi-functional conference and event centre. There is a large hall with state-ofthe-art technology, a ca. 200 m² stage with orchestra shell and a high-quality parquet floor, which is also suitable for elegant balls. For seminars and conferences there are 6-8 seminar rooms, which are also equipped with the latest technology. The light-filled lobby is over 1,500 m² and can be configured as required with partition walls. The entire NordseeCongressCentrum is wheelchair accessible, barrier-free and has an inductive and tactile control system. The bright exhibition h a l l i s pa r t ic u la r ly s u it a b le f o r p r o d u c t presentations. A connecting corridor leads directly into the NordseeCongressCentrum.

Das Schloss vor Husum, so genannt, weil es früher außerhalb der Stadtgrenzen lag, ist das einzige, ehemals königlich-dänische Schloss an der schleswig-holsteinischen Nordseeküste. Als Zentrum der Kultur und Begegnung hat es sich auch international einen Namen gemacht.

The “Schloss vor Husum” is so named because it used to be located outside the city limits. It is the only former Danish royal palace on the Schleswig-Holstein North Sea Coast. Today it is an internationally renowned centre of culture and exchange.
Situated on the north wing of the castle, the rooms at the Castle Café combine a historic atmosphere and ambiance with bright modern architecture. The Castle Café is a practical training venue for Husum’s TheodorSchäfer Vocational Training Centre (TSBW).

Das Spezialitäten-Restaurant Steak & Meer am Hafen bietet Raum für Veranstaltungen mit Wasserblick und maritimem Flair. Hierfür stehen der Restaurantbereich im 1. Stock sowie ein separater Raum im Erdgeschoss zur Verfügung.
The socio-cultural “Speicher Husum e.V.” is located in a historic warehouse building. You'll find this idyllic location directly in the old harbour in the middle of the city. It is a preferred venue for events such as concerts or readings.

Nordfriesen-Bachelor / North Frisian Bachelor Exotik – das verspricht etwas Anderes, Fremdes oder Unbekanntes. Manch einer denkt da an Ananas, Kiwis oder Mangos oder an exotische Bilder aus Tahiti, wie die Werke von Gauguin. Wie auch immer… Wir finden die Exotik so attraktiv, weil sie einen Hauch von Abenteuer verspricht. Den wohl exotischsten Abschluss gibt es bei uns in Husum. Absolvieren Sie hier Ihre Prüfung zum Bachelor of NF (Kenner von Nordfriesland). Prüfungsfächer: von Gummistiefel-Weitwurf bis Klotstockspringen. Die Vorteile dieses Studiums liegen auf der Hand. Es dauert nur einen Tag. Der Stoff ist niemals trocken (es gibt leckere Getränke, jede Menge Spaß und Unterhaltung). Und es schweißt zusammen!
Exotic - the promise of something different, strange or unknown. Many might think of pineapple, kiwi fruit or mangoes or images of Tahiti like the works of Gauguin. However we think exotic is enticing because it promises a hint of adventure. We have arguably one of the most exotic bargains right here in Husum. Get a North Frisian Bachelor’s degree (a connoisseur of North Frisia). Examination subjects: from gumboot throwing to “Klotstockjumping”. The advantages of such study are obvious. It only takes a day. It is never boring (there are enough drinks, fun and entertainment). And it’s great for team building.

Hier kann jeder das Instrument ausprobieren, das am besten zu ihm passt. Hauen Sie auf die Pauke, blasen Sie ins Horn oder treten Sie die Pedale – nach nur einem Tag werden Sie im eingespielten Team den richtigen Ton treffen und es auf der Ton-, äh, Karriereleiter ganz nach oben schaffen.
