YES, freedom of choice without Compromises. Until now, most offshore supply vessel projects with integrated technology systems are based on a ship design from a product manufacturer. As a result, ship owners have not always had the freedom to choose the most competitive and tailor-made solution for their needs as the ship design came with a complete fixed package of systems from one brand. Thanks to our Multiflex Modules, this is about to change. Imtech Marine works as a partner in close cooperation with owners, naval architects and shipbuilders. Our aim is to provide the best and most efficient solution for our customers whilst minimising the risks. It starts with an early involvement in the conceptual design of the ship, either new build or retrofit. Our knowledge of the vessel’s functionality is then used to create an optimal interface between the ship’s processes and Imtech’s integrated

technology or that of compatible third party suppliers. Without compromises – as THE system integrator, Imtech will take full responsibility for the modules installed and can maintain and service them throughout the ship’s life-cycle.

The Propulsion Module (Diesel-Electric) With an increasing level of environmental awareness in the shipbuilding industry, Imtech’s leadership in technology is reducing emissions from ships and is driving the forthcoming electric revolution in offshore supply vessels. The (Diesel-Electric) Propulsion system reflects this in three important ways – requiring less fuel and maintenance as well as emitting less harmful pollution, whilst also reducing noise and enhancing manoeuvrability and positioning accuracy of the vessel even in extreme conditions. A big step towards a higher grade of efficiency and better performance.

The HVAC Module (Heating/Ventilation/Air Conditioning) Understanding HVAC technology has been one of our core strengths for over 150 years. As HVAC systems consume a major share of the fuel resources on board, we are consequently investing in feasibility studies, CFD-simulations and weight reduction as well as energy-saving concepts. The result is that our HVAC technology is tested to give 100% performance in every conceivable situation. For the crew on board, this not only makes them feel more comfortable but allows them to carry out their tasks much more efficiently. We integrate the HVAC Module into any ship design. This also includes the full life-cycle maintenance and service.

The Automation Module Today’s vessel automation systems are designed to help operate the vessel more efficiently and safely. Modular, flexible and state-of-the-art automation systems that use an intuitive Human Machine Interface combined with unambiguous alarm handling are a part of this – and our operation philosophy. Able to read out and control all required measuring points, these modules provide you with the most advanced systems to monitor, control and safeguard all essential equipment such as engines, generators, pumps, refrigeration and hydraulic systems. Reducing downtime and maintenance costs, this will also help to prevent forthcoming malfunctions. We regard the power management system as an integral part of our Automation Module. It controls and coordinates the supply of electrical power and ensures the ideal operation of the generators – come what may.

The NavCom Module (Navigation/Communication) Safe navigation is a key requirement on board each vessel. Focussed on e-navigation, Imtech’s mission is to integrate every single unit into a complete system design in order to provide safe and comfortable use. Thanks to the modular design we are able to offer maximum flexibility. Integrated as well as interfaced bridges are part of the product range. Increasing data exchange between vessels offshore and headquarters onshore makes these new networks and interfaces essential. In particular, satellite, internet and radio have to handle more data and more complex information. Imtech offers the whole range of radio and satellite communication for high performance telephony and internet.

The DP Module (Dynamic Positioning System) The DP Module works together with a vessel’s power generation, power distribution system and thruster/propulsion to provide a completely dynamic positioning and ship motion control system. Designed to give the master total control of his vessel, DP Modules can be set to select a predetermined track, or maintain the ship’s position automatically. With simple configurations, the product range includes a cost-efficient single system, dual redundant system or a triple redundant (back up) system for the most demanding of tasks. This is integrated DP technology you can trust.

The Fire Fighting/Fire Protection and Safety Module Fire fighting capabilities are part of the general job profile for many offshore support vessels and there is absolutely no room for failure. In accordance with regulations and class requirements, Imtech helps to determine what your specific fire protection needs are. With our experience and knowledge we offer the optimum solution and also the most efficient way of installation. Imtech is constantly updating its services and products to provide a variety of alarm systems e.g. fire alarm, cold storage alarm and hospital call alarm. A diligent approach which we will maintain throughout the life-span of the ship.

The Power Distribution Module Reliability of the electrical system is essential for safety at all times. We have a track record of extensive experience in this sector, working with shipyards, shipping companies and engineering offices all over the world. Our Power Distribution Module covers a range of low or medium voltage switchboards. These are tailor-made according to the operation philosophy of ship owners and class requirements, motor control centres, power and lighting distributions, UPSSystems, transformers and auxiliary boards – for the most demanding situations.
