WHAT IS IT?
The currency coin is your personalised tool to make sense of the change in percieved value of the things around you through the use of a language that you are familiar with. The currency coin uses global commodities as a way of conveying relational information. You know what the cost of a big mac is at home and you know the value you attahc to it, take that same big mac in another country has the same value, but a different monetary value attached to it. This is the information you get through the coin. Once you update your home city and the current city you live in, the coin will give you randomised information familarising you with the new currency. So no more multiplyinng complicated figures to convert between currencies, just use your currencuy coin to quickly re-orient yourself in a new environment.

We currently live in a connected world. We have constant access to information with the click of a button. There are several currency converters that are available to us, which update and provide us with live information. The currency converters translate information through figures. The value of a currency is only as valuable as the things it can buy us. The actual figure is usually of no value to the user. The currency coin identifies this problem and makes the currency translation available in the language of global commodities, making it easier to understand and relate to the change in currency value while moving.

According to Cisco there are presently more connected objects than there are people on this planet. Over the next five years the number of connected objects is going to be double of what it is presently.
The number of students who move out of their home cities for the purpose of education is increasing. There has been a 10% increase in the year 2013 in only the U.K. this trend is likely to continue over the next few years to come.
Calm Technology
With the increase in the number of connected objects there is a growing need to have devices that are provide the user with screenless interfaces that help communicate information in a calm and ambient way.

The currency coin comes embedded with an AnyNet Sim that helps it connect to the Internet using cellular network. So all you have to do is sync your phone to the object.

2. 3. Why would you do complex math when you can compare the cost of big macs? The pilot option on the application is provided to allow the user to ensure that the device is securely connected to the phone. The user can click on this option anytime they feel like they want to make sure that the currency coin is giving them accurate information. For any technical problems the help option on the application will provide technical support to fix the problem.

The user can order the toolkit Online. The registration process can be done Online. Once the user downloads the app and updates the registration information the profile with the two cities is automatically generated.
