Passionate About Treating Children

by Amy Sharp

“For more than a decade, my philosophy for my practice has been to make going to the dentist fun for children,” says Dr. Faisal M. Khan, founder of local Grand Parkway Pediatric Dental. “As my practice grew, it was imperative I find pediatric dentists who enjoyed treating children as much as I do. I’m so lucky to have Dr. Priyanshi Ritwik and Dr. Annie Zheng on my staff!”

Dr. Zheng first worked in general dentistry. Not quite sure it was the right career path for her, Dr. Zheng soon came to realize that her passion was treating children and helping them have a healthy and beautiful smile. A native Houstonian, Dr. Zheng graduated from UT Health School of Dentistry as a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. This mother of one is thrilled to be part of Dr. Khan’s Grand Parkway Pediatric Dental family.

After completing dental school, Dr. Ritwik worked at the Kuwait Ministry of Health where she was the primary dentist for elementary school children. Dr. Ritwik had never thought about pediatric dentistry until she came home one day and her mother said, “I’ve never seen someone so happy after work. You must really enjoy working with children.” That was the turning point for Dr. Ritwik. She moved to the United States to pursue a specialization in pediatric dentistry. Today, this mother of two is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (ABPD), serves as a consultant for the ABPD, and is a member of the examination committee. Dr. Ritwik
