INTERVIEW
What inspired your name?
Nothing specific really, I knew I wanted something different and I know I wanted to make people happy with my music so I called myself Xtatiqbeatz which means happy beats/music.
In your career as an artist, what challenges have you encountered and what have you learned from those challenges?
I' ve encountered quite a lot of challenges actually… From cancellation of shows to performing for two people. Struggling with recording equipment just to name a few… What I' ve learned from it all is to trust the process, allow God to take control- do his will and at the end it'll all work out.
Who do you look up to as an inspiration and why?
Big Sean, because he too had to fight obstacles to get to where he is today and he didn 't have to change who he is or what he stands for.
How long have you been in the music industry and what is your biggest dream or goal?
I' ve been in the game since 2009 in high school and my biggest goal or dream is to be in a song with Big Sean
Who is the one person that has made an impact in your life and how have they done so?
My grandma.... I wouldn 't be where I am if it wasn 't for her… I can 't find words good enough to describe an impact she made in my life... But believe me when I tell you that I wouldn 't be here if it wasn 't for her.
What has been your greatest achievement?
Being able to remain true to myself and believing that I am in my lane therefore enabling me to deliver exactly what my fans want, that freedom alone is an achievement on its own.
