MY HEALTH DETERMINE MY FUTURE SPE Health Day was held in April, 15th 2019 in Pendopo Fakultas Teknologi Mineral UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta. The theme of this event is My Health My Future. The purpose is to remind college student and everyone in UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta about health care, knowing health condition early in order to prevent diseases and maintain a healthy lifestyle. SPE Health Day was collaborated with Karima Health Care Community where they provided medical personnel and medicines. The services that available are dental check, anthropomety, medical check, cholesterol test, uric acid test, diabetes test, ECG test and basal metabolic test. Some services not free because of the tools such as cholesterol test, uric acid test, diabetes test, ECG test and basal metabolic test, but the price that participants should pay in SPE Health Day was cheaper than in hospital, and the medicines cost only 4 thousand rupiahs. This event was attended by many participants, they are very excited to check their health. There are 80 participants, consist of 68 college students and 12 college teachers. This event start at 9 am until 4 pm. WE WATCH, WE DO, WE LEARN SPE Teaching English is part of Benefaction Month event. In this period, We conduct the SPE Teaching English in th an orphanage on Sunday, April 21 2019. The orphanage name is LKSA Nurul Haq Madania, Located on Janti street Gg. Gemak 88 Banguntapan Bantul Yogyakarta. Mrs. Husnur Rosyidah as Head of LKSA Nurul Haq Madania said to us that she was so much grateful and appreciated SPE UPN because this activities is very rarely held in orphanage, she hopes SPE Teaching English could be a routine agenda by SPE UPN

seeing this event was very useful for the children in orphanage. In this SPE Teaching English using a concept that the children can learning English by watching and doing. Learn by watching means we gave the children a short video that little bit funny to get their interest. And learn by doing means we do some games that used their body for moving and makes them more lively. SPE Teaching English is a really good event to increase children enthusiasm in learning English. There they not only have fun and get knowledge but they also get motivation to reach their dream. Which everyone has the opportunity to make it true.

ENHANCEMENT ENERGY FOR NEXT GENERATION In series of benefaction month 2019, UPN “veteran� Yogyakarta SPE SC was held SPE goes to school on April 26, 2019. This event was held in order to fulfill the curiosity of the senior high school student about the oil and gas industry. This event was held in STM 2 Pembangunan Yogyakarta which known about the basic thing of oil and gas industry. There were around dozens of students that came to this event. Before the event began, the project manager gives some speech to opened up and then followed by the speaker. Firstly, Mr. Ragil explained about the primary thing of oil and gas industry and continued with Mr. PMM Ikhbal, former of UPNVYK SPE SC with a lot of recognition to deliver the presentation about the competitions in oil and gas college, alongside with introducing SPE as the international organization in oil and gas industry. The participants seemed very interested in the material given. SPE goes to school is quietly to be our annual event and thankfully it was all held expeditiously as we planned. We hope that this event had an impact on the students so they could have a hint about the oil and gas industry.
Indonesia's Biggest Gas Discovery 2019: Kaliberau Gas Field The government has yet to announce the official volume of what is possibly Indonesia's biggest gas discovery in almost two decades, which was found by Spanish energy giant Repsol along with its joint venture partners Malaysia's Petronas and Japan's Mitsui Oil Exploration. The gas find, called the Kaliberau Dalam Well 2X (KBD2x), is located in the Sakakemang Block, South Figure 1. Prior to drilling, the prospect was estimated to hold in the region of 1.5 tcf of gas, or over 250 million barrels of oil equivalent. Global Energy Think Tank, Wood Mackenzie, calculates that the KBD2X can produce natural gas of 300 mmcfd for 15 years. It also said Indonesia could capitalize on the discovery to attract investment and stimulate more exploration.

The resources of conventional oil and gas discovered in 2019 were on pace to rose 30% from last year and have reached their highest level since the beginning of the industry's downturn. Global discoveries yielded 3.2 billion BOE during the first quarter, with 2.2 billion BOE alone coming in February. According to the data from Research Consultancy of R y s t a d E n e rg y, i t i s considered as the highest since August 2015. A s u c c e s s f u l exploration driven by the majors namely ExxonMobil, is driving the rebound as companies refocus on expanding their base of resources after the passive activity in recent years. Thus, the US major has accounted
38% of the total volumes following its Glaucus-1 natural gas discover y off Cyprus, Tilapia, and Haimara oil and gas discoveries. On the other hand, off Guyana holds the 1st, 3rd, and 7th rank of the current year's tremendous asset. The second largest discovery was announced in Februar y, which was the TOTAL's Brulpadda well on Block 11B/12B off South Africa. Total was also a partner during the CNOOC-operated Glengorm discovery in the UK North Sea—the area's biggest discovery in a decade. In our homeland, Repsol boasted the largest onshore find with its Kali Berau Dalam gas discovery within the country. It comes with a preliminary estimate of at least 2 Tcf of recoverable r e s o u r c e s . M o r e o v e r, i n February the company also
announced the planning of its subsequent appraisal well. Stated by the company Rystad, another 35 “high-impact” exploration wells are being expected to be drilled this year—both onshore and offshore. Three valuable explorations that are already in the ongoing process are Shell's Peroba well off Brazil, Total's Etzil well off Mexico, and Eni's Kekra well off Pakistan. FACING VT AND FET SCHLUMBERGER RECRUITMENT WITH SPE CLASS SPE Class #1 2019 is sharing about Vacation Trainee and Field Engineer Trainee of Schlumberger. It's held by UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Student Chapter in Petroleum Engineering Department Building. “You will get many benefits and extraordinary experiences by join VT Schlumberger,” Mr. Aprillie said. There is one more interesting sentence from him, “You should take any chance, do not think whether you may succeed this test or not!” UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta SPE SC, as one of the intellectual organizations, provides a class for UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta society to take the information they needed for Vacation Training Schlumberger. This event was held on March 14, 2019, starting at 7 until 9.30 pm in the Petroleum Engineering department building. In this event, the committee invited the experts of VT and FET Schlumberger, which are the VT and FET Schlumberger receivers in the previous year. They are Mr. Aprillie as the VT Schlumberger 2017, Mr. Nathanael Romy Gracio as the VT Schlumberger 2018 and Mr. Irfan Maulana, S.T as the FET Schlumberger Candidate 2018. The participants came from petroleum engineering and environmental engineering. They were very fascinated by this event. They asked many

questions especially for the tips and tricks to be one of the VT and FET Schlumberger this year. As a prestigious chance for the youngengineer-to-be, we all know V T and FET Schlumberger definitely will do some tests to make sure they hire the best of the best. In this SPE class, the speakers shared how to get-through the Aptitude Test, Forum Group Discussion, and HR interview, and what the field training is feel-like after succeeding in the test. Also, they give simulation for the communication test for the participant, so the participant can imagine how will the test be “Just give the simple answer, and just be confident as long as you can fluent enough,” Mr. Nathanael said. And also for FGD Test, there is one important rule from him, “Be Active, but remember to give a portion to your partner and don't close other people potential”. The speakers also shared their experiences as the VT Schlumberger, they shared the participants how it feels like in the real-life as the engineer and field daily life, vigorously. In the end, they added some motivation to all the participants to move further without any hesitation for eachself, “Believe in yourself, you absolutely can do it.” Because in the end, you only regret the chances you didn't take. “Self-Confidence is the first requisite to great undertakings.” – Samuel Johnsonn
