Upperclass: the history of a paint track
It happened on a hot day in July 1990. From now on two grafitti writers from Zurich decide to sign their pieces with Upperclass. Three more can artists join the crew and draw the track further. Upperclass becomes the logo of Zurich’s underground. No grey wall is safe from the five friends nimble fingers.
Collective philosophy
In contrast to most other crews UC mainly paints community murals, prefering exposed walls where the time window to finish a piece closes rapidly. Precise preparation and excellent teamwork makes it possible. The UC philosophy is pure drive: the collective comes before the individual. Every line, every colored surface is part of the whole. Five creative personalities merge into one: Upperclass.
