EDITOR’S LETTER On behalf of the Uptempo Mag team, I’d like to wish you all a very Happy New Year and thank you all for supporting us on our journey. The past year brought opportunity, change, and growth to our process, allowing us to develop new ideas for the coming year. In addition to thanking our readers, we’d also like to thank the incredible teams of photographers, creative directors, wardrobe stylists, makeup artists, hair stylists, and set designers who contributed to the success of our publication. Without you, we’d be nothing. We look forward to continuing relationships with all of you, while nurturing your talents in anyway we can. With that, we decided to dedicate this particular issue, our first of the year, to the exceptional photographers and creative teams who keep our pages turning. How? By curating some of our favorite images from 2012, and organizing them to appear by color. As many of you saw, 2012 was quite a year for us. In addition to updating the aesthetic of the magazine, we decided to publish monthly, focusing each issue on a specific theme, and featuring two unique covers each month. In 2013, you can expect to see advances in editorial layouts, a brand new website, an updated blog, new partnerships, monthly issue release parties, the official launch of Uptempo Runway, and a few other surprises we can’t reveal just yet. We look forward to continuing to bring you a fresh, contemporary perspective on the fashion and art industries, while promoting advancing talent.
