FINDING RIPTIDE Hello everyone! Welcome back to campus! I hope everyone had an eventful but relaxing Mardi Gras and Spring Break. I know that I had an amazing time with my family and friends, but am glad to be back here on campus, ready to enjoy all of the new events we have in store this week. Firstly, I’d be a feathered fool if I forgot to mention my trip to Liuzza Farms with my Uptown Campus Dining team. All the chefs and I visited Liuzza Farms, the largest family owned farm in Louisiana, to check our very own part of the farm. You see, the Uptown Campus Dining chefs and Sodexo are adopting Liuzza Farms, and guaranteeing to bring all of the produce from 50 square acres of farmland right here to New Orleans! It’s hard to beat fresh Louisiana produce, and the Liuzza family produces some of the tastiest strawberries around. This week don’t miss the return of Artisan Lunch Day at Bruff Commons Dining Room. The frenzy-inducing array of cheese, crackers, and fruit will be available between 11am – 2pm this Tuesday, but arrive quickly! Cheese mania spreads quickly here on Tulane’s campus. Einstein’s Bros. Bagels is turning 10 years old on Tuesday! Celebrate your favorite bagel maker’s 10-year anniversary on Tulane’s Uptown campus by stopping by to spin the prize wheel. You could win a free t-shirt, reusable tote bag, or even free coffee for a month!
This Wednesday, Mindful is making a big splash in the LBC Food Court. A free sampling of all of the delicious flavors of Mindful will be available between 11am – 2pm. Are you strong enough to go head to head with the most delicious of breakfast choices? The Pancake Eating Challenge is back at City Diner this Friday night! Stop by City Diner to register yourself for the most anticipated (and syrupy) challenge of the year. Speaking of round and delicious edibles – it’s Pi Day at Bruff Commons Dining Room! The talented chefs at Bruff Commons will be serving up your favorite fruit pies, quiches, pizzas, and tarts in celebration of the deliciously numeric “holiday” this Friday. The symmetrical fun starts at 11am and goes until … well, I always lose track at about 3.141592653…… See ya around campus! Love, Riptide
