GPEM builds and supplies Australian Government models used by Australian Governments to forecast future population growth for planning and infrastructure and human services.

Our image processing approaches have been selected by Google Earth for global implementation on their Earth Engine platform, allowing anyone in the world to access and use them.

Our research in to protected areas has been widely adopted and applied as best practice globally, with the UN adopting it as an indicator of progress United Nations towards biodiversity goals.

IBIS World reports the Australian Environmental Science Services industry is forecast to maintain solid revenue growth of 4% per annum over the five years through 2016-17, exceeding the projected pace of GDP growth of 3.4% per annum and reflecting the combined impact of increased government funding for weather and climate-related research, ongoing growth in demand for mineral testing and further growth in environmental markets.

Learning Impact An online academic integrity tool developed by GPEM staff has been internationally recognised. Almost 100 international institutes have requested access, and it has been completed by more than 30,000 students.
