DURBAN CLUB CHAMBERS The former NedBank Building was completed in 1966 as the final project and only Durban building by South Africa’s prominent modernist architect Sir Norman Eaton. Internationally recognised as a premiere example of 1960s modern architecture, the building is being meticulously and painstakingly restored to its former glory. The beautiful cube structure, travertine podiums, water fountains, vegetation and intricate, suspended filigree screen façade are being restored, repaired and cleaned. All common spaces are being sensitively and carefully refurbished and original features restored. A new reception area and 16 floors of offices are available to professional firms and businesses. Durban Club Chambers was approved in 2016 by the KwaZulu-Natal Bar Council as one of five official buildings in central Durban from which qualified legal professionals are permitted to practice.
