If you've been out recently for a bite to eat, you

Thanks to Paws on Patios, an organization

started in 2010 that made it possible for

two dozen restaurants now welcome our canine

friends.

For those of us who like to enjoy a nice day

with our dogs and a delicious meal, there are

some great Houston eateries with dog-friendly

October is National Adopt-A-Dog Month

Two of the largest animal welfare organizations

are encouraging people to adopt, not shop, for their next family dog with a special month-long celebration commemorating all the shelter and

rescue dogs out there who are still looking for a home.

The American Society for the Prevention of

Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) and the American

Humane Association (AHA) have designated the month of October as National Adopt a

ou may have heard the story of Lentil, a
