Celebrating the 8th Annual Black Music Honors: A Night of Musical Brilliance and Cultural Tribute

The Black Music Honors, now in its 8th year, is a prestigious event that recognizes and celebrates the revolutionary artists and musicians who have left an indelible mark on African-American music. Held at the renowned Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta, Georgia, the live taping produced by Central City Productions took place on Friday, May 19 Co-hosted by the talented singer and actress LeToya Puckett and the comedic actor DeRay Davis, the event showcased the immense contributions of urban music to the cultural landscape

Honoring Musical Legends:

The Black Music Honors annually pays homage to legendary figures in Black music who have made exceptional contributions to the industry. This year's lineup of honorees represents the very soul of American music The distinguished list includes the influential hip-hop superstar, songwriter-producer, and cultural icon, Missy Elliott; the award-winning R&B vocal trio and one of the best-selling female groups of all time, SWV; the disco superstar vocalist, songwriter, record producer, and performer, Evelyn "Champagne" King; the widely-respected R&B/Soul crooner, Jeffrey Osborne; and the legendary gospel trailblazers, The Hawkins Family. Founder and Executive Producer Don Jackson emphasizes the significance of these honorees, stating, "Black music is the heartbeat of our culture, and the honorees for this year's Black Music Honors represent the soul of American music " The event not only celebrates the achievements of past musical innovators but also highlights the influence and impact of their iconic sounds and styles on contemporary artists, creating a beautiful symbiosis of past and present

An Unforgettable Night of Music and Memories:

The televised special will premiere on the Stellar Network on June 3 and air in national broadcast syndication from Saturday, June 10, to Sunday, July 2, as a tribute to Black Music Month. Additionally, Urban Trendsetters TV will broadcast the show on June 19 at 8 pm EST The event is Executive Produced by Don Jackson, with Jennifer J Jackson serving as Producer and Executive in Charge of Production, and Michael A Johnson as Producer and Director
