Strategic Territorial Agendas for “Small and Medium Sized Towns” urban systems ▪
Project financed through South East Europe Transnational Cooperation Programme. The project is tackling the problem of incoherent urban and regional development in the SEE area and neighbouring countries by jointly developing an approach that can help cities and regions in making integrated and sustainable urban agendas and place based strategies by participatory planning tools.

ATTRACTIVE DANUBE: Improving capacities for enhancing territorial attractiveness of the Danube Region (2017-2019) ▪
A Danube Transnational Program (DTP) which aims to strengthen transnational and multilevel governance as well as the institutional capacities of territorial development strategies by establishing a permanent transnational common platform to monitor territorial attractiveness.

19 partners from 10 countries and 7 associated strategic partners
Our role: • We lead WP5 – consolidating institutional capacity for development planning;

We represent Romania for the management and creation of the Territorial Attractiveness Management Platform;

We will develop the Handbook on using and interpreting territorial attractiveness data and indicators;

ROCK: Cultural Heritage leading urban futures (2017-2020) ▪
ROCK develops an innovative, collaborative and circular systemic approach for regeneration and adaptive reuse of historic city centres. Implementing a repertoire of successful heritage-led regeneration initiatives, ROCK test the replicability of the spatial approach and of successful models addressing the specific needs of historic city centres

Partners: 7 role model cities (Lyon, Torino, Liverpool, Vilnius, Cluj, Atena, Eindhoven) and 3 replicators (Lisabona, Skopje, Bologna).
Our role: • Scientific partner supporting the transfer of Role Model initiatives, redefining access to public spaces cultural institutions and architectural monuments through LBS services;

Indoor/outdoor LOCation and Asset management Through open gEodata ▪
ICT-PSP Project (2014-2017), i-Locate pilots an integrated platform for management and tracking of mobile assets and people within institutions, in order to streamline various processes and improve citizens' experience within public buildings.

Creates and pilots (14 sites, 8 countries) a virtual hub for indoor mapping data and an open source toolkit to enable interoperable indoor/outdoor location and tracking of assets.

Monterusciello Agro City – Lead Expertise ▪ ▪
Urban Innovative Action won by the city of Pozzuoli, Italy
▪
The MAC project will create a new agro-urban landscape which will radically transform the character of the neighborhood: a landscape made of urban areas and agriculture land connected by a productive thread; the agriculture giving work opportunities, training and production to the City; the City benefiting of the agriculture areas as gardens, thanks to the innovative techniques which will also increase the vegetation.
The MAC project seeks to reduce urban poverty in the neighborhood of Monteruscello, where poverty is understood in the social and economic sense and within the physical environment. The proposal is designed to trigger a process of economic, entrepreneurial, and social development, together with the improving of the urban environment.
Dr. Pietro Elisei is the Lead Expert for the MAC Project, appointed by the Commission and programme Secretariat.
YPLAN – “Young Placemakers Initiative (Participatory design for public spaces)” ▪
YPLAN project is co-funded by a grant Swiss (large grants scheme, Round 2) by SwissRomanian Cooperation Programme.

The Project “Initiative of civic involvement of young people: participatory design for public spaces” (YPLAN) intends to develop the perception of public spaces issues in the cities, taking into account the high degree of the quality of public space affecting the environment, social welfare and the economic urban areas.

ESPRESSO – “systEmic standardization apPRoach to Empower Smart citieS and cOmmunities” ▪ ▪

ESPRESSO focuses on the development of a conceptual Smart Cities Information Framework, which consists of a Smart City platform (the so-called Smart City enterprise application) and a number of data provision and processing services to integrate data, workflows, and processes in applications relevant for Smart Cities within a common framework.
