Urban Renewal Greater Enhancement National Team Empowering and Revitalizing Urban Communities Founded in 1994 and headquartered in Miami, the Department of Juvenile Justice recognized the non-profit URGENT, Inc. as the Shinning Star Winner for Prevention Programs. URGENT, Inc. provides social services, education, training and affordable housing, targeting neighborhoods in Overtown, Liberty City, Little Haiti and Goulds. URGENT, Inc. initiatives include pregnancy prevention, skills development, career internships, case management, and youth empowerment during after school and summer to name just a few.
