At the end of August, the 5th season begins in SalzburgerLand with the Salzburger Bauernherbst (Harvest Festival). It is the time to bring in the harvest and process it, the time for celebrations, encounters and pleasures. Here you can get to know traditional farming life with handicraft demonstrations, hikes, cooking courses, harvest festivals, Alpine herding and traditional local events. Music, dance, great food, traditional dress, community life and handicrafts take centre stage. With around 2,000 festivals in 74 Harvest Festival towns there is something for everyone here.
