The Annual Fund: Creating an Effective Plan In the busy days of nonprofits, “best practices” and “actual practices” often part ways as development professionals face a myriad of challenges. But with a good annual fund plan, best practices are integrated into our goals, objectives, and fundraising activities. In this class, we will develop a written annual fund plan based on a case study. We will learn how to set realistic fundraising goals by identifying our probable donors and by defining strategies to reach them and keep them. We will include a plan to engage our board and executive director. In addition, we will define tools needed to do the job and learn why adequate infrastructure is critical. During the classes, we will hear from outside board members, executive directors, and directors of development about experiences that will enlighten our understanding and enliven our discussion. Integrated Marketing Communication II: Promotion

Developing the Proper Investment Strategy for Nonprofits

Capitalizing on the knowledge of promotion planning acquired in Integrated Marketing Communication I, this workshop addresses specific uses of promotion for the nonprofit organization. Topics to be covered include motivating audiences and donors, branding your nonprofit organization, and branding your annual campaign fund drive. Participants will produce a draft promotion campaign for peer review and instructor critique. To receive the full benefit from this workshop, participants are strongly encouraged to take Marketing Basics I and II, and Integrated Marketing Communication I prior to registering for Integrated Marketing Communication II.

In this workshop we will address the myth that an organization must have a substantial sum of money before it concerns itself with developing an investment strategy. In reality, it is often more important that groups with smaller asset bases structure a solid approach from the beginning because every dollar counts. In this workshop we will discuss the components of a strong investment approach, as well as the implementation and oversight involved. Additionally, we will examine how a proper investment strategy can benefit an organization, not only structurally, but in its fundraising efforts as well. This course is designed for individuals who have an interest in, or fiduciary responsibility to, their organization’s financial well being.

Or, perhaps whimsy. Clear twists that pique the imagination.”

“Gardens to Go: Portable Color” Sydney Eddison brings her exquisite sense of color to container gardening. Eddison shows how to use containers to punctuate a garden, create garden rooms, or invigorate a tired area. Key to her approach is her sense of texture, color and scale. Sydney Eddison is author of numerous books on gardening, including “The Rainbow Contained” and “Gardens to Go”. Build More Wealth Faster by Investing in Your Debt Are you on track to achieve the kind of lifestyle and retirement you truly desire? Are you getting ahead as fast as you want? Is your present financial course producing the results you want? If you answered no, you are not alone. According to the Social Security Board, only 3% of Americans are financially independent at age 65. That means conventional financial strategies are failing the other 97% of the population! Why not consider an alternative approach? This seminar teaches practical, powerful and proven strategies that will allow you to take complete control of your finances, once and for all; eliminate all your consumer debt - credit cards, car loans, etc - in just 1 - 4 years; then eliminate your 30 year mortgage in another 3 - 5 years; save more than $100,000 in scheduled interest payments; and accumulate savings at the same time! How much would your quality of life improve if you have no mortgage payments, no credit card payments, and no debt whatsoever? Attend this seminar and you will wonder no more! This seminar is strictly educational. NO investments, business opportunities or get rich quick schemes will be promoted or sold. Tuition includes a workbook. Do you sometimes have “more month than money”? It’s not your fault. The problem is that in school you learned about the War of 1812, not “Money Management 101”! How can you expect to be successful without the proper knowledge and tools? This workshop will empower you to take complete control of your money and consistently make choices that support your financial goals by working with the “Conscious Spending Process”. By attending this workshop you will discover the reasons most people fail financially; develop the foundational skills of financially successful people; learn to be “financially congruent” by understanding and applying the Law of Attraction and Process of Manifestation; gain insight into your hidden “Spending Personality”; and learn a simple, effective method of money management that combines 21st Century technology with old fashioned common sense.
