Design Strategies

use of basement | freeing the foreground taking server halls in the basement frees up foreground space and helps in taking advantage of thermal mass of the earth for temperature control intended hybrid inserts to data center use of technology | immersion cooling tanks liquid immersion cooling tanks allow high density computing in a compact mechanism saving on space and resources circular energy | heat recovery system circular energy cycle within the system leading to a sustainable approach to building management and energy usage arranging functions along the spine overlooking the plaza

The Elements

developing open plaza and spine according to nature of functions extruding masses in accordance to regulations and desired site visibility physical seperation of floorplates and separate access points for both data center and public functions maintains the security aspect for the critical facility

SECTION THROUGH DATA CENTER - pixel terrace in server hall act as barrier to direct sun and provide insulation against ambient heat

REDUCING FLOORPLATES - allowing terrace spaces overlooking the central court and allowing a development that doesnt block view of the neighbourhood structures with thoughtful use of technology and adapting to existing climatic conditions, these machine landscapes can be conditioned in a sustainable manner

SUNK FLOOR DETAIL - sunk slab allows to have false flooring at standard slab level. The hollow space house immersion liquid piping and conduits sunk slab allows to avoids ramps and steps for access of server halls from lobby area

THE DATA COURT - a sneak peek into the server hall, also allowing for natural light to seep in controlled manner

THE URBAN MEDIASCAPE - use of data driven technology to enhance building facade with a public participatory approach history of internet infrastructure explained through digital facade screens public artboard showcasing power of data in realtime projection mapping technology on ceiling to showcadata driven artworks foodcourt and creche area working on data driven service system the proposal is an attempt to treat the internet infrastructures with a urban friendly approach promoting sustainability in use of land and resources
