The western coast of Mumbai is proposed with reclamation projects one of which is the backbay reclamation in Cuffe Parade. The site is imagined as a blank portion of sea to be reclaimed in the near future. The site develops an interesting narrative with a mixed used nature. The proposal needs to repsond to the existing fishing community as well the business class and local residents that use the site on a daily basis. Thus, the intent was to develop a ferry terminal with recreational boardwalks that support the existing occupational, ecological and recreational factors of the site the site situated on the western coast of mumbai allows the possibility of developing the first ferry terminal and waterfront development with an iconic setting
