An interlocal agreement was signed by the Garrison Manager, Andy Bird, and City of Doral Mayor, Luigi Boria. This agreement with the City of Doral is beneficial to the command, as it gives the employees of USSOUTHCOM and USAG-M the authorization to utilize the City’s outdoor/indoor recreational facilities. Family and MWR has been receiving a lot of positive feedback from customers and participants. We hope to provide this command event again next year.

The children of the Child Development Center put on a fabulous show to kick off the community fair, followed by a demonstration from Barradas Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Fighters Association and the children from the City of Doral Jazzercise Company jazzed it up for a final performance. Outside the fitness center, Catabella Express gave free train rides for approximately two hours and the Miami Dade Library Book Mobile was available too.
