Almashreq/editorial: Five members of one family of Moroccan descent were found dead inside a Phoenix home Thursday evening after an apparent dispute over the family business burst into gunfire. “We believe this is a family dispute of some sort that has gone terribly wrong,” Phoenix police Sgt. Trent Crump told reporters. The victims were three brothers, their mother and one of the men’s wives, Police said a gun was found next to one of the men who had a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Driss Diaeddinn, 50, shot the other four and then turned the gun on himself. His brothers, Reda Diaeddinn, 38, and Dodi Fayed, 56, were found dead in one area of the house, police said. His 76-year-old mother, Kenza Benzakour, and his sisterin-law, Meriem Ben Yahia, 26, were also found dead. The suspect’s wife, a second female relative and two children escaped the massacre unharmed, police said.

North Carolina-based Blackwater was sold and renamed several times after the incident. It is now called Academi, based in northern Virginia. U.S. federal prosecutors had called the guards’ action “horrendous” and urged longer sentences for Slough, Liberty and Heard.

public schools will start observing two of Islam’s most important holidays, Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha, The New York Times reported on Wednesday, citing an announcement to be delivered by the city’s Mayor Bill de Blasio. According to the newspaper, the changes to the school calendar are in line with de Blasio’s election pledge to better integrate and represent the city’s increasing Muslim population, which is estimated at between 600,000 and 1 million. New York City public schools already recognise several Jewish and Christian holidays. In a post on Twitter prior to the announcement, de Blasio said the new policy will represent “a change that
respects the diversity of our city.” A 2008 study carried out by Columbia University showed that around 10 percent of New York City public-school children were Muslim, and that about 95 percent of Muslim children in the city attend public schools. Eid al-Adha, or the Festival of Sacrifice, commemorates a pivotal event shared by Judaism, Christianity and Islam: the willingness of Ibrahim, or Abraham, to sacrifice his son to God. Eid al-Fitr marks the end of the holy month of fasting for Ramadan, which is signaled by the sighting of the crescent moon. Muslim community leaders have called on the city to add the two holidays to the school calendar for years.

women have been arrested and accused of planning to carry out a “terrorist attack” in the United States, according to a federal criminal complaint made public on Thursday. Noelle Velentzas, 28, and Asia Siddiqui, 31, plotted to hit police, government or military targets based on their “violent jihadist beliefs,” according to the complaint filed in U.S. District Court in Brooklyn. It said Velentzas and Siddiqui were conspiring “to prepare an explosive device to be detonated in a terrorist attack in the United States.” The complaint said Velentzas had praised al Qaeda’s Sept. 11, 2001, attacks on the United States and said she and Siddiqui were “citizens of the Islamic State.” The women, former roommates in the city borough of Queens, had researched how to build an explosive device and had read textbooks on electricity and watched online videos about soldering, it said.
When they were arrested, agents found bomb-building materials including propane gas tanks, soldering tools, pipes, a pressure cooker and fertilizer, authorities said. The women also voiced support for beheadings of Western journalists and others by militants in control of territory in Syria and Iraq, the complaint said. Charged with conspiracy to use weapons of mass destruction against persons or property in the United States, the pair appeared briefly before U.S. Magistrate Judge Viktor Pohorelsky in Brooklyn federal court. Neither Velentzas, who wore a black dress and hijab, nor Siddiqui, in a green T-shirt over black clothing, entered a plea. Authorities said both women posed substantial flight risks, and they were ordered detained until trial. Thomas Dunn, a court-appointed lawyer for Siddiqui, said she would
plead not guilty if indicted. “I know it is a serious case, but we’re going to fight it out in court,” he said. Velentzas’s lawyer Sean Maher declined comment. The women face the possibility of life in prison if convicted. “We are committed to doing everything in our ability to detect, disrupt and deter attacks by homegrown violent extremists,” Brooklyn U.S. Attorney Loretta Lynch said in a statement. We are stronger together and only solidarity will be able to triumph against such a horrific event. For this reason, we call on each of us to join in voice

Police Chief Larry Boyd ordered a squad car stationed outside the Islamic Center of Irving this week, and officers are trying to increase patrols around the mosque. Islamic leaders asked for the measures because they’ve been getting disturbing emails, letters and phone calls since a City Council vote last month intersected with a fringe

downplayed the security measures. “The police department routinely receives and accommodates such requests from organizations throughout the city,” Boyd said in an emailed statement. Six young Somali-American men from Minnesota charged with conspiring to support IS The six, all U.S. citizens, were part of a larger group of friends and relatives who had been conspiring for the past 10 months, many trying multiple times to leave the country, federal prosecutors alleged. Their arrests on Sunday capped a yearlong FBI investigation into would-be Islamic State recruits seeking to journey abroad, and there was no evidence the accused had plans to carry out any attacks inside the United States, prosecutors said. Dozens of people from the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, many of them young Somali-American men, have traveled or attempted to travel overseas to support Islamic State or al Shabaab, a Somalia-based militant group, since 2007, according to U.S. prosecutors. “We have a terror recruiting problem in Minnesota,” U.S. Attorney
for Minnesota Andrew Luger told a news conference. Four men - Zacharia Yusuf Abdurahman, 19, Adnan Farah, 19, Hanad Mustafe Musse, 19, and Guled Ali Omar, 20 – were arrested in Minneapolis. They appeared for a brief hearing in federal court on Monday and were held pending a detention hearing scheduled for Thursday. Abdurahman Yasin Daud, 21, and Mohamed Abdihamid Farah, 21, were arrested in California after driving from Minneapolis to San Diego. They, too, were ordered by a judge to remain jailed without bond until their detention hearings, which were slated for Friday. Extradition proceedings to return them to Minnesota were set to begin on April 30. Three of the accused had traveled to New York by bus with another man, Hamza Ahmed, in November, when they were stopped from boarding

Ahmed was indicted in February on charges of conspiring to support Islamic State and lying to federal agents investigating recruitment by militant groups. The group met regularly to plan trips, prosecutors said. One unidentified member had doubts, changed his mind and recorded their meetings, Luger said. “These were focused men who were intent on joining a terrorist organization by any means possible,” Luger said. They received advice and encouragement from another group member, Abdi Nur, who has stayed in contact with them since he left the United States last year and joined Islamic State in Syria, prosecutors said. The complaint said Siddiqui had been in contact with al Qaeda members and Velentzas was Facebook friends with Tairod Pugh, a U.S. Air Force veteran charged with attempting to aid Islamic State, a militant group that holds territory in Iraq and Syria. Pugh, 47, of Neptune, New Jersey, pleaded not guilty last month. Separately on Thursday, Muhanad Mahmoud Al Farekh, a U.S. citizen accused of training with al Qaeda in Pakistan, appeared in Brooklyn federal court on charges he had conspired to provide personnel to be used by Islamist militants in support of efforts to kill U.S. citizens and members of the U.S. military abroad. In March, the U.S. Justice Department said a U.S. Army National Guard soldier and his cousin had been arrested on charges of conspiring to support the Islamic State militant group in a plot that included a plan to attack a military installation in Illinois. In another case, a Somali-American teenager who was stopped at a Minnesota airport as he sought to fly to Turkey last year pleaded guilty in federal court in February to conspiring to support Islamic State. Also in February, three men living in Brooklyn were charged with conspiring to support Islamic State, and U.S. authorities said two of them had planned to go to Syria to fight on behalf of the group.
After a brief hearing Monday, Senior Resident Superior Court Judge Orlando Hudson Jr. ruled that Craig Stephen Hicks is “death penalty qualified.” Hicks, who remained handcuffed throughout the court proceedings, showed no visible emotion as the judge announced his decision. He is charged with three counts of first-degree murder in the Feb. 10 killings of 23-year-old Deah Shaddy Barakat; his wife, 21-yearold Yusor Mohammad Abu-Salha; and her sister, 19-year-old Razan Mohammad Abu-Salha. Durham County Assistant District Attorney Jim Dornfried said at the preliminary hearing that Hicks was taken into custody while in posses-
sion of a .357-caliber handgun that ballistics testing had matched to the eight shell casings recovered at the victims’ apartment. There was also gunshot residue on Hicks’ hands. Police have said Hicks, 46, appeared to have been motivated by a long-running dispute over parking spaces at the condominium complex near the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he lived in the same building as dental student Barakat and his wife. Dornfried said Monday that Hicks had revealed details about the killings while under questioning by investigators. “There were certain issues he described involving parking,” Dorn-
fried told the judge. “He went and retrieved a firearm from his residence, then proceeded over to the residence of the victims. ... The door was answered by Deah Barakat. There was a brief interaction, at which time the defendant pulled out his concealed firearm.” Dornfried said Hicks shot Barakat multiple times, then entered the apartment and shot each of the screaming women in the head. He then pumped another slug into Barakat as he left the apartment, the prosecutor said. After prosecutors asked the judge to approve the death penalty, defense lawyer Terry Alford declined to speak.

Sunday it condemned the mass killing of 30 people by the IS group in Libya, but was unable to verify whether the victims shown in a video were Ethiopian Christians. “We have seen the video but our embassy in Cairo has not been able to confirm that the victims are Ethiopian nationals,” government spokesman Redwan Hussein told Reuters. “Nonetheless, the Ethiopian government condemns the atrocious act.” The 29-minute video purports to show militants holding two groups of captives, described in a text on the screen as “followers of the cross from the enemy Ethiopian Church”. A masked fighter in black brandishing a pistol makes a statement threatening Christians if they do not convert to Islam. The video then switches between footage of one group of about 12 men being beheaded by masked militants on a beach and another group of at least 16 being shot in the head in a desert area. It was not immediately clear who the
captives were or exactly how many were killed. Before the killings, the video shows purported footage of Christians in Syria explaining how they had been given the choice of converting to Islam or paying a special tax, and had decided to pay. The video bore the logo of the IS group’s media arm and was similar to footage released in the past, including of a group of 21 Coptic Christians, mainly Egyptians, beheaded on a Libyan beach in February. Several Libyan jihadist groups have pledged allegiance to the IS group, the extremist organisation that seized control of large parts of Syria and Iraq last year and declared an Islamic “caliphate”. The IS group has carried out widespread atrocities and won the support of jihadist groups across the region, including in chaos-hit Libya. The country has been wracked by unrest since the 2011 uprising that toppled and killed dictator Muammar Gaddafi, with two opposing governments and armed groups battling to control its cities and oil wealth.

sentenced former president Mohammed Morsi to 20 years in prison on Tuesday in connection with the deaths of protesters during demonstrations against his rule in 2012. Morsi also faces charges in two other trials. Morsi supporters attacked opposition protesters outside the presidential palace in December 2012, sparking clashes that killed at least 10 people. Judge Ahmed Youssef dropped the murder charges against Morsi and said the sentence was instead linked to the “show of force’’ against protesters and unlawful detentions. The ruling can be appealed. Twelve other Brotherhood leaders and supporters, including Mohammed el-Beltagy and Essam el-Erian, were also sentenced to 20 years in prison. The Cairo Criminal Court issued the verdict as Morsi and the other defendants stood in a soundproof glass cage in a makeshift courtroom at Egypt’s national police academy. The ruling reflects Morsi’s dramatic downfall and the challenges facing Egypt since the 2011 uprising that forced longtime leader Hosni Mubarak from power. The country’s first freely elected president, Morsi took power in 2012 but was ousted by the army just a year later and put on trial as the new regime of Abdel Fattah al-Sisi launched a relentless crackdown on the moderate Islamist Muslim Brotherhood. have since been sentenced to death and thousands more jailed. An Egyptian court on Monday sentenced 22 members of the Muslim Brotherhood to death over a 2013 attack on a police station outside Cairo. A court in the southern city of Minya sentenced 529 members to death in a single ruling last March. Most were sentenced in absentia, with only 153 then in detention. The Muslim Brotherhood issued a statement ahead of the verdict on Tuesday denouncing the judiciary – calling it a tool of repression – and calling for protests. “The coup commander (Sisi) is exploiting the judiciary as a weapon in the battle against popular will and the democratic and revolutionary legitimacy represented by President Mohamed Morsi,” the statement said. The Brotherhood called for “nonstop revolutionary marches and demonstrations” starting Tuesday in support of Morsi and demanding his reinstatement. The Muslim Brotherhood, now blacklisted by Egypt as a “terrorist organisation”, has previously failed to mobilise large numbers for its rallies because of persistent fears amid a continuing crackdown. Morsi also faces the possible death penalty in connection with two other trials, including one in which he is accused of leaking state secrets to Iran’s Revolutionary Guards. He is also accused of escaping from prison during the widespread protests that ousted Mubarak. Separate verdicts in those two cases are due on May 16.

The panel of experts monitoring U.N. sanctions against alQaida said in the report obtained Wednesday by The Associated Press that its analysis indicates the number of foreign terrorist fighters worldwide increased by 71 percent between mid-2014 and March 2015. It said the scale of the problem has
increased over the past three years and the flow of foreign fighters “is higher than it has ever been historically.” The overall number of foreign terrorist fighters has “risen sharply from a few thousand ... a decade ago to more than 25,000 today,” the panel said in the report to the U.N. Security Council. The report said just two countries have accounted for over 20,000 foreign fighters: Syria and Iraq. They went to fight primarily for the Islamic State group but also the Al-Nusra Front. Looking ahead, the panel said the thousands of foreign fighters who
traveled to Syria and Iraq are living and working in “a veritable ‘international finishing school’ for extremists,” as was the case in Afghanistan in the 1990s. A military defeat of the Islamic State group in Syria and Iraq could have the unintended consequence of scattering violent foreign terrorist fighters across the world, the panel said. And while governments are focusing on countering the threat from fighters returning home, the panel said it’s possible that some may be traumatized by what they saw and need psychological help, and that others may be recruited by criminal networks.

General Ban Ki-moon on Tuesday told an international donors’ conference for Syria that four out of five Syrians now live in poverty, describing the situation as “the worst humanitarian crisis of our time”. Syria’s civil war, now in its fifth year, has killed at least 220,000 people and displaced 11 million, according to figures compiled by the United Nations. Of those who have been displaced, nearly four million have been forced to flee to nearby countries such as Lebanon, Turkey, Jordan, Iraq and Egypt, stretching resources there to the limit. “Four out of five Syrians live in poverty, misery and deprivation. The country has lost nearly four decades of human development,” Ban told the third annual conference, which was hosted in Kuwait this year. “They are not asking for sympathy, they are asking for help,” Ban said in his speech. He also offered some stinging remarks, saying that he had “only shame and deep anger and frustration at the international community’s impotence to stop the war”. The UN had requested $8.4 billion (€7.7 billion) in pledges this year – its largest appeal yet for the warravaged country. As the crisis in Syria continues unabated, the UN has said $2.9 billion is needed in 2015 for Syrian people inside the country, and $5.5 billion for those who have fled to the five surrounding countries. The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said the Syrian crisis has created “the largest displacement crisis in the world” and that 12.2 million people – just under half of them chil-
dren – are in “dire need of aid”.

It’s not enough to raise awareness – we need to implement concrete solutions to protect these vulnerable populations.” The Islamic State militants active in Iraq, Syria and Libya have specifically targeted religious minorities. Egyptian poet Abdel Rahman al-Abnudi, widely known for his revolutionary verse and criticism of two toppled presidents, died Tuesday at the age of 76, his wife said. Abnudi, who underwent brain surgery at a Cairo hospital just days ago, rose to prominence in the 1960s for his poems, some performed by legendary Arab singer Abdel Halim Hafez. In a career spanning four decades, Abnudi, known for his leftist views, published several volumes of medieval poems on Arab hero Abu Zeid al-Hilali and his tribe that travelled through the Middle East and North Africa. • 1 tablespoon olive oil • 5 large fresh tomatoes, coarsely chopped • 1 tablespoon minced garlic • 6 eggs • 4 pita bread rounds
Namoora (Basboosa) Middle Eastern dessert ingredients
• 1 tablespoon tahini (sesame seed paste) • 2 cups dry farina cereal • 1 1/2 cups white sugar • 2 teaspoons baking powder • 1 cup plain yogurt • 1 tablespoon butter, softened • 16 blanched almond halves • 2 cups white sugar • 2 cups water • 1 teaspoon lemon juice • 1 tablespoon butter • 1 teaspoon orange flower water
Preparation : • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chopped tomatoes and garlic, stirring occasionally, until liquid has cooked out of the tomatoes. Carefully break eggs over tomatoes without breaking yolks. Lightly season with salt, reduce heat, and cover. • Simmer covered for 20 minutes, or until yolks are fully cooked. Adjust seasoning with salt as needed. Serve with pita pockets.
Cooking Method : • Line a 9x13-inch glass baking dish with aluminum foil, and generously butter the foil. Spread the tahini evenly over the bottom of the prepared pan in a thin layer. • Mix together farina cereal with 1 1/2 cup of sugar and baking powder in a bowl. Mix in the yogurt and 1 tablespoon of softened butter gently with your hands until the dough is smooth. Spread dough out into the prepared baking dish. Pat the surface smooth. Cover the dish with foil, and allow to stand at room temperature for 2 hours. With a sharp knife, cut the dough into 16 squares; push an almond half gently into the top of each square. • Bake in the preheated oven until the dessert is set and the top is lightly golden brown, about 30 minutes. • While the dessert is baking, make the syrup. Place 2 cups of sugar into a saucepan with the water, and bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly to dissolve sugar. Stir in the lemon juice, and boil the syrup for 5 minutes; stir in butter and orange flower water until combined. Pour the hot syrup over the dessert as soon as it comes out of the oven. Let cool for 1 to 2 hours to let the syrup absorb before serving.

این نخستین «عشق دولتی» است که مغربیها شاهد آن هستند؛ به ویژه اینکه دولت کنونی را اسالمگرایان رهربی میکنند .داستان متعلق به دو وزیری است که هر دو عضو حزب اسالمگرای «عدالت و توسعه» حاکم هستند .این داستان شاید ظرفیت آن را داشته باشد که به سناریوی یکی از رسیالهای تلویزیونی همچون «حریم سلطان» تبدیل شود. افکار عمومی مغرب این روزها به ماجرایی مشغول است که به رسیالهای ترکیه شباهت دارد؛ به ویژه رسیال «حریم سلطان» که در جهان عرب بسیار محبوب است. رسانههای مغربی به تفصیل از رابطه عاشقانه میان دو وزیر در دولت اسالمگرای عبدالله بن کیران

مجلس شورا حضور خربنگار ارسائيلی در ايران را بررسی می کند
به دنبال رسانه ای شدن حضور یک خربنگار زن روزنامه ارسائیلی «یدیعوت آحارونوت» در ایران که به تازگی توانسته به این کشور سفر کند ،محمد جوکار عضو کمیسیون امنیت ملی و سیاست خارجی مجلس شورای ایران از بررسی حضور این خربنگار در کمیسیون متبوع خود خرب داد. جوکار در گفتوگو با خربگزاری تسنیم نزدیک به ارگان های امنیتی و نظامی ایران ،از بررسی موضوع حضور «اورلی آزوالیی» رئیس دفرت واشینگنت روزنامه ارسائیلی «یدیعوت آحارونوت» خرب داد. خانم آزوالیی ،مشاهدات و خاطرات سفرش به چند شهر ایران را جمعه 3آوریل در این روزنامه منترش کرد. عضو کمیسیون امنیت ملی و سیاست خارجی مجلس ایران همچنین گفت که این کمسیون هفته قبل نیز در رابطه با این موضوع صحبت کرده و تصمیم دارد از دستگاههای مربوطه هم سؤال کند. خربنگار «یدیعوت آحارونوت» از سالها پیش در واشینگنت زندگی میکند و از آمریکا به ایران رفته است .گزارش خانم «آزوالیی» با عنوان
«یک زن ارسائیلی در رسزمین هزار آیتالله» منترش شده است. به گزارش خربگزاری فارس ،خانم آزوالیی 14روز متام در ایران بوده و به تهیه گزارش و کسب خرب و مصاحبه با مردم مشغول بوده است .او در «ایرانگردیاش اصفهان ،شیراز و تخت جمشید و تهران را دیده و با مردم آنها صحبت کرده است». رسانه های ایرانی مخالف دولت روحانی ،وزیر ارشاد را متهم به سهل انگاری در موضوع سفر خربنگار ارساییلی به ایران کرده اند ،و می گویند« :شناسایی یکی از مشهورترین خربنگاران ارسائیلی کار سختی نیست و معلوم نیست

آرم انتخاباتی کلینتون متسخر بسیاری را برانگیخت
فعالیت کمپین انتخاباتی هیالری کلینتون ،همرس رئیس جمهوری پیشین آمریکا که خود را برای انتخابات ریاست جمهوری این کشور نامزد کرده، متسخر بسیاری را در شبکههای اجتامعی برانگیخت. آرم کمپین انتخاباتی هیالری کلینتون حرف H انگلیسی است که به رنگ آبی نوشته شده و از آن یک پیکان قرمز به شکل افقی عبور میکند. این آرم بیشرت شبیه عالمت راهنامیی رانندگی است که به بیامرستان اشاره میکند. برخی هم در شبکههای اجتامعی نوشتند که این آرم بسیار شبیه آرم رشکت پست «فدکس» است. برخی نیز نوشتند که میتوان این آرم را به آسانی با آرم یکی از احزاب فاشیستی دوره جنگ جهانی دوم مقایسه کرد.

کشور جدید لیربالند در اروپا دنبال شهروند می گردد
یک شهروند چک خود را رئيس جمهور کشور جدید «لیربالند» خواند .این «کشور» که تنها هفت کیلومرت مربع مساحت دارد در میان دو کشور رصبستان و کرواسی قرار دارد. به گزارش العربیه ،فیت جیدیکا موسس کشور «لیربالند» می گوید که طرح تشکیل این کشور ابتدا با حیله ای سیاسی آغاز ،اما بعدها به طرحی جدی تبدیل شد. این دولت جدید که روز دوشنبه گذشته تاسیس شد ،با شعار « زندگی کن و دیگران را بگذار زندگی کنند» اعالم وجود کرد .دو زبان انگلیسی و چکی زبان های رسمی این کشور اعالم شده است. رئيس لیربالند پس از انتشار پرچم کشورش ،مردم را برای قبول شهروندی در لیربالند فراخواند. صفحه فیسبوک این کشور گفته که تاکنون ۲۰ هزار نفر درخواست شهروندی کرده اند. رئيس این کشور گفت که بزودی قانون اساسی و

خربدار! 35برس سے کم عمر تاجکوں کا حج ممنوع
وسط ایشیائی مسلامن ریاست تاجکستان کے محکمہ مذہنی امور نے اپنے ایک حالیہ فیصلے میں 35سال سے کم عمر افراد کے فریضہ حج کی ادائی کے لیے سعودی عرب جانے پر پابندی عاید کی ہے۔ العربیہ ڈاٹ نیٹ کے مطابق فی الوقت یہ فیصلہ رواں سال کے حج کے لیے ہے تاہم حسب رضورت اس میں توسیع بھی جا سکے گی۔ تاجک محکمہ امور دینیہ کے زیر انتظام حج کمیشن کی جانب سے جاری ایک بیان میں کہا گیا ہے کہ کم عمر افراد کو فریضہ حج کی ادائی کے لیے حجاز مقدس کے سفر سے اس لیے روکا گیا ہے تاکہ بڑی عمر کے زیادہ سے زیادہ شہریوں کو اس فریضے کی ادائی کا موقع فراہم کیا جا سکے۔ خیال رہے کہ تاجکستان سنی اکرثیتی ریاست ہے جس کے 95 فیصد باشندے حنفی مسلک کے پیروکاروں پر مشتمل ہیں۔ حکومت کے تازہ فیصلے پر عوام میں سخت رد عمل بھی دیکھنے
میں آیا ہے۔ تاجک حج کمیشن کے مطابق پچھلے سال 6300 تاجک شہریوں نے فریضہ حج ادا کیا۔ ان میں بڑی تعداد نوجوانوں کی بھی شامل تھی۔ تاجک حکومت اس سے قبل بھی اس نوعیت کے متنازعہ قوانین منظور کرتی رہی ہے جس پر عوامی حلقوں کی جانب سے شدید ردعمل بھی سامنے آیا۔ کچھ ہی عرصہ پیشرت تاجک حکومت کی جانب سے 18سال
سے کم عمر کے طلباء کے بیرون ملک دینی تعلیم کے حصول کے لیے سفر پر پابندی عاید کر دی دعوی تھا گئی تھی۔ حکومت کا ٰ کہ بیرون ملک مذہبی تعلیم کے حصول کے لیے جانے والے انتہا پسندانہ رحجانات اختیار کر رہے ہیں۔ اسی ضمن میں تاجک حکومت نے ایک مہم بھی چالئی تھی جس میں بیرون ملک گئے 1500طلباء کو واپس بال لیا گیا تھا۔ یہ تعداد
تاجکستان کے بیرون ملک حصول علم کے لیے جانے والے طلباء کا ایک تہائی تھی۔ تاجکستان سابق سوویت یونین سے الگ ہونے والی ایک غریب ریاست سمجھی جاتی ہے۔ ملک میں سیکولر نظام حکومت رائج ہے تاہم ملک کی اکرثیتی آبادی حنفی مسلک کی پیروکار ہے۔ لوگ اپنے بچوں کو بیرون ملک کام کاج کے لیے بھیجنے کو ترجیح دیتے ہیں۔
پوپ آرمینیا میں ہالکتوں کو نسل کشی قرار نہ دیں:ایردوآن
ترک صدر رجب طیب ایردوآن نے رومن کیتھولک کے روحانی پیشوا پوپ فرانسیس کے حالیہ بیان پر کڑی تنقید کرتے ہوئے انھیں خربدار کیا ہے کہ وہ پہلی عاملی جنگ میں سلطنت عثامنیہ کی فوج کے ہاتھوں آرمینیائی باشندوں کے مبینہ قتل عام کو نسل کشی قرار دینے کی دوبارہ غلطی نہ کریں۔ صدر ایردوآن نے ترک برآمد کنندگان کی اسمبلی کے ایک اجالس میں تقریر کرتے ہوئے کہا ہے کہ ‹›جب کبھی سیاست دان اور مذہبی عاملین تاریخ دان بننے کا فریضہ بھی سنبھال لیتے ہیں تو پھر مفروضے جنم لیتے ہیں اور حقائق سامنے نہیں آتے۔میں یہاں ایک مرتبہ پھر یہ کہنا چاہتاہوں کہ مؤرخین کا ایک مشرتکہ کمیشن قائم کیا جائے اور ہم اپنے آرکائیوز کو کھولنے کے لیے تیار ہیں››۔ انھوں نے کہا کہ میں پوپ کو خربدار کرنا چاہتا ہوں،وہ اس غلطی کو دُہرائیں نہیں اور میں ان کی مذمت کرتا ہوں۔انھوں نے کیتھولک چرچ کے روحانی پیشوا کے بیان پر افسوس کا اظہار کیا ہے۔ پوپ فرانسیس نے گذشتہ اتوار کو اپنی ایک تقریر میں 1915ء میں آرمینیائی باشندوں کے قتل عام کو بیسویں صدی کی پہلی نسل کشی قرار دیا تھا۔صدر ایردوآن نے پوپ کے سنہ 2014ء میں ترکی کے دورے کا ذکر کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ وہ تب ویٹی کن کے رہ منا کو ایک ‹›مختلف سیاست دان›› سمجھے تھے۔
انھوں نے اپنی بات کی وضاحت کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ ‹›میں نے ان کے لیے ایک مذہبی عامل کا لفظ استعامل نہیں کیا تھا۔اب ان کے بیان سے ایک مذہبی عامل سے مختلف ذہنیت کی عکاسی ہوگئی ہے››۔ تاہم ترک صدر نے اس عزم کا اظہار کیا ہے کہ وہ تاریخی واقعات کو سیاق وسباق سے ہٹ کر من مانے مفہوم عطا کرنے کی اجازت نہیں دیں گے اور نہ ان کو اپنے ملک اور قوم کے خالف مہم کا حصہ بننے دیں گے۔ واضح رہے کہ پوپ فرانسیس نے ویٹی کن میں سینٹ پیٹر باسیلیکا میں اجتامع عام سے خطاب کے دوران آرمینیائی باشندوں کے قتل عام کی ایک صدی پورے ہونے پر خالفت عثامنیہ کے خالف بیان دیا تھا اور اس کی فوج کے ہاتھوں آرمینیائی باشندوں کے قتل عام کو بیسویں صدی کی پہلی نسل کشی قراردیا تھا۔اس تقریب میں آرمینیائی چرچ کے مذہبی قائدین بھی موجود تھے۔ درایں اثناء یورپی یونین نے ترکی اور آرمینیا پر زور دیا ہے کہ وہ اپنے دوطرفہ تعلقات کو معمول پر الئیں۔یادرہے کہ آرمینیا کا یہ مؤقف رہا ہے کہ پہلی عاملی جنگ کے زمانے میں ترک فوج کے ہاتھوں اس کے پندرہ الکھ شہری مارے گئے تھے لیکن ترکی اس دعوے کو مسرتد کرتا چال آرہا ہے اور اس کا کہنا ہے کہ جنگ کے دوران رصف تین سے پانچ الکھ کے درمیان آرمینیائی باشندوں کی ہالکتیں ہوئی تھیں اور اتنی ہی تعداد میں ترک بھی
مارے گئے تھے۔میدان جنگ کے عالوہ قحط سالی کی وجہ سے بھی ہالکتیں ہوئی تھیں۔تاہم ترکی آرمینیا یا اس کے حامی ماملک کی جانب سے اس قتل عام کے لیے وضع کردہ نسل کشی کی اصطالح کو مسرتد کرتا چال آرہا ہے۔ ترکی کا کہنا ہے کہ آرمینیا کے جنگجوٶں کے ہاتھوں کرد اور ترک شہری بھی مارے گئے تھے۔آرمینیاؤں کی ان ہالکتوں کے مسئلے کو اہل مغرب وقفے وقفے سے ترکی پر دباٶ ڈالنے کے لیے اچھالتے رہتے ہیں۔ترکی اور آرمینیا نے دوطرفہ اختالفات کے خامتے کے لیے 2009ء میں ایک امن معاہدے پر دستخط کیے تھے اور 1915ء میں رومنا ہوئے تشدد کے مبینہ واقعات کی تحقیقات کے لیے بین االقوامی ماہرین پر مشتمل ایک کمیشن کے قیام سے اتفاق کیا تھا۔امن معاہدے کے بعد دونوں ماملک کے درمیان سفارتی تعلقات بحال ہوگئے تھے اور انھوں نے دوطرفہ تجارت کے لیے اپنی رسحدیں کھول دی تھیں۔ فرانس نے 2001ء میں آرمینیائی باشندوں کی ہالکتوں کو نسل کشی قراردے دیا تھا اور سابق فرانسیسی صدر نکوال سارکوزی نے اپنے دور حکومت میں ترکی سے کہا تھا کہ وہ آرمینیا میں قتل عام کو نسل کشی تسلیم کرے ،وگرنہ فرانس اس سے انکار کو ایک جرم قراردے دے گا۔نکوال سارکوزی بحیثیت صدر فرانس ترکی کی یورپی یونین میں شمولیت کی سب سے زیادہ مخالفت کرتے رہے تھے۔

یوم پاکستان پریڈ،ملکی ساختہ مسلح ِ ڈرون کی منائش
پاکستان کے وفاقی دارالحکومت اسالم آباد میں یوم جمہوریہ کے موقع پر تینوں مسلح افواج نے سات سال کے وقفے کے بعد پریڈ کا شاندار مظاہرہ کیا ہے اور اس موقع پر پاکستان کے اپنے تیار کردہ بغیر پائیلٹ طیارے (مسلح ڈرون) کی منائش کی گئی ہے۔ پاکستانی حکام نے دہشت گردی کے خالف جنگ میں اس مسلح ڈرون کو ایک اہم اضافہ قرار دیا ہے۔واضح رہے کہ گذشتہ سات برسوں کے دوران دہشت گردی کے حملوں کے پیش نظر اسالم آباد میں مسلح افواج کی اس ساالنہ پریڈ کا انعقاد نہیں کیا گیا تھا۔ اسالم آباد کے عالقے شکرپڑیاں میں نئے تیار کردہ کھلے میدان میں تینوں مسلح افواج ب ّری ،بحری اور فضائیہ کے چاق چوبند دستوں نے مشرتکہ پریڈ میں حصہ لیا اور اس موقع پر نئے ڈرون کو پرواز کے لیے چھوڑا گیا ہے۔ فرنٹیر کور،پاکستان رینجرز اور خصوصی کامنڈو فورس کے دستے بھی پریڈ میں رشیک تھے۔ اس پریڈ کے موقع پر پاکستان کی رنگا رنگ ثقافت کو بھی اجاگر کیا جاتا ہے۔اس مقصد کے لیے چاروں صوبوں اور آزاد کشمیر کی تہذیب و ثقافت کے عکاس خصوصی فلوٹس تیار کیے گئے تھے۔اسکولوں کے بچوں نے ملک کے مختلف عالقوں کی پہچان لباس پہن کر عالقائی ثقافت کو اجاگر کیا۔ پاک فضائیہ کے رسبراہ ائیرمارشل سہیل امان نے خود پاکستان میں چین کے تعاون سے تیار کردہ جے ایف 17تھنڈر طیارہ اڑاتے ہوئے فالئی پاسٹ کیا اور ان کی قیادت میں پاک فضائیہ کے طیاروں نے صدر ممنون حسین کو سالمی دی۔اس موقع پر وزیراعظم میاں نواز رشیف،پاک آرمی کے رسبراہ جرنل راحیل رشیف اور بحریہ کے رسبراہ ایڈمرل ذکاء اللہ بھی موجود تھے۔ صدر مملکت ممنون حسین نے اس موقع پر خطاب کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ پاکستان بھارت کے ساتھ برابری کی بنیاد پر تعلقات چاہتا ہے۔دونوں
ملکوں کے درمیان تنازعہ کشمیر کو کشمیری عوام کی امنگوں کے مطابق طے کیا جانا چاہیے۔انھوں نے 16دسمرب 2014ء کو آرمی پبلک اسکول پشاور میں دہشت گردوں کے حملے میں جاں بحق ہونے والوں کو خراج عقیدت پیش کیا۔ یاد رہے کہ 23مارچ 1940ء کو الہور میں آل انڈیا مسلم لیگ کے ساالنہ اجالس کے موقع پر قرارداد پاکستان کی منظوری کی یاد میں ہر سال مسلح افواج پریڈ کرتی ہیں اور اس موقع پر پاکستان کے اپنے تیار کردہ ہتھیاروں ،لڑاکا طیاروں اور اسلحے کی بھی منائش کی جاتی ہے۔اس قرارداد کی روشنی میں اسالمیانِ ہند سات سال کی شبانہ روز جدوجہد کے بعد 14 اگست 1947ء کو اپنے لیے الگ وطن پاکستان کے حصول میں کامیاب ہوگئے تھے۔ اس سے قبل 23مارچ 2008ء کو یوم پاکستان کے موقع پر مسلح افواج کی اسالم آباد میں پریڈ منعقد کی گئی تھی۔تب جرنل ریٹائرڈ پرویزمرشف ملک کے سویلین صدر تھے۔ان کے دور تک پارلیمینٹ ہاؤس کے سامنے پریڈ ایونیو میں پریڈ ہوتی رہی ہے لیکن اس مرتبہ وہاں میٹرو بس کے لیے شاہراہ زیر تعمیر ہونے کی وجہ سے جگہ کو تبدیل کردیا گیا ہے۔ یوم پاکستان کی پریڈ کے موقع پر دارالحکومت اسالم آباد اور اس کے جڑواں شہر راول پنڈی میں سکیورٹی کے سخت انتظامات کیے گئے تھے۔رات بارہ بجے سے وائرلیس انٹرنیٹ اور سیل فون رسوسز معطل کردی گئی تھیں اور انھیں دوپہر دوبجے کے بعد بحال کیا گیا ہے۔اس موقع پر اسالم آباد میں شادی کی تقریبات ،آتش بازی ،ہوائی فائرنگ ،پتنگ بازی اور کبوتر اڑانے پر بھی سخت پابندی عاید تھی۔دونوں شہروں کے متام داخلی اور خارجی راستوں پر قائم چیک پوائنٹس پر سکیورٹی اہلکاروں کی بھاری نفری تعینات کی گئی تھی اور لوگوں کی آمد ورفت پر کڑی نظر رکھی جارہی تھی۔

پاکستان :بیلسٹک میزائل غوری کا کامیاب تجربہ پاکستان نے بیلسٹک میزائل غوری کا کامیاب تجربہ کیا ہے۔یہ میزائل جوہری اور روایتی ہتھیار لے جانے کی صالحیت کا حامل ہے اور 1300کلومیٹر تک مار کر سکتا ہے۔ پاک فوج کے شعبہ تعلقات عامہ (آئی ایس پی آر) کی جانب سے بدھ کو جاری کردہ بیان کے مطابق آرمی کی اسٹریٹجک فورسز کامنڈ (اے ایس ایف سی) کے تزویراتی میزائل گروپ نے درمیانے فاصلے تک مار کرنے والے غوری میزائل کا تجربہ کیا ہے۔اس کا مقصد اس کے مختلف ڈیزائن اور فنی پیرامیٹرز اور اے ایس ایف سی کی آپریشنل تیاریوں کی جانچ کرنا تھا۔ غوری میزائل کے تجربے کے وقت اسٹریٹجک پالنز ڈویژن کے سینیر عہدے دار ،تزویراتی اداروں سے وابستہ فورسز ،سائنس دان اور انجنئیرز بھی موجود تھے۔یہ تجربہ کسی نامعلوم مقام پر کیا گیا ہے۔ صدر پاکستان ممنون حسین ،وزیراعظم میاں www.almashreqonline.com
نواز رشیف اور اسٹریٹجک پالنز ڈویژن کے ڈائریکٹر جرنل ،لیفٹیننٹ جرنل زبیر محمود حیات نے غوری میزائل کے کامیاب تجربے پر سائنس دانوں ،انجنئیروں اور تزویراتی اداروں کے عملہ کو مبارک باد دی ہے اور اس کو پاکستان کی سد جارحیت کی صالحیت میں اضافے کی جانب اہم قدم قرار دیا ہے۔ لیفٹیننٹ جرنل زبیر محمود حیات نے اسٹریٹیجک فورسز کے تربیتی عمل کے دوران شاندار معیار پر مکمل اطمینان کا اظہار کیا ہے۔انھوں نے کہا کہ پاکستان اپنی دفاعی اور جوہری سد جارحیت کی صالحیت پر فخر کر سکتا ہے۔ پاکستان نے چند ہفتے قبل بیلسٹک میزائل شاہین سوم کا کامیاب تجربہ کیا تھا جو ستائیس سو کلومیٹر تک مار کرسکتا ہے۔پاکستان نے گذشتہ سال شاہین ا ّول اور شاہین دوم میزائلوں کے کامیاب تجربات کیے تھے۔شاہین دوم ڈیڑھ ہزار کلومیٹر تک جوہری اور روایتی ہتھیار لے جانے کی صالحیت رکھتا ہے۔
واضح رہے کہ امریکا کے ایک تھنک ٹینک کی جانب سے حال ہی میں جاری کردہ رپورٹ میں کہا گیا ہے کہ پاکستان تیزی سے ترقی کرتے ہوئے جوہری پروگرام کا حامل ہے اور وہ سنہ 2020ء تک دو سو تک جوہری ڈیوائسز اور ہتھیار تیار کرنے کی صالحیت رکھتا ہے۔
انٹرنیشنل کرکٹ کونسل نے سپاٹ فکسنگ کے الزام میں پابندی کی زَد میں آئے ہوئے پاکستانی کھالڑی محمد عامر کو فوری طور پر اندرون ملک مقابلوں میں رشکت کی اجازت دے دی ہے۔ یہ بات آئی سی سی کی جانب سے ایک تازہ بیان میں کہی گئی ہے۔ آئی سی سی کی طرف سے یہ بیان جمعرات کو جاری کیا گیا ہے۔ پاکستانی ٹیم کے سابق کپتان سلامن بٹ اور بالر محمد آصف کے ساتھ ساتھ بائیس سالہ فاسٹ بالر محمد عامر پر بھی سن 2010ء میں انگلینڈ کے دورے کے دوران اور خصوصاً الرڈز میں کھیلے جانے والے چوتھے ٹیسٹ میچ کے دوران سپاٹ فکسنگ کے الزام میں پانچ سال تک کرکٹ مقابلوں میں حصہ لینے کی پابندی عاید کر دی گئی تھی۔ محمد عامر پر عاید کردہ اس پابندی کی مدت اس سال دو ستمرب کو ختم ہونا تھی تاہم آئی سی سی نے اپنے اینٹی کرپشن (اے سی ایس یُو) حکام کے ساتھ تعاون کرنے پر محمد عامر کو ابھی سے متام ڈومیسٹک مقابلوں میں رشکت کی اجازت دے دی ہے۔ پابندی کے خامتے کی خرب نرش ہونے کے بعد نیوز ایجنسی ‹اے ایف پی› کے ساتھ ٹیلی فون پر بات چیت میں محمد عامر نے کہا کہ ’یہ ا ُن کی زندگی کی سب سے بڑی خرب ہے‘۔ ا ُنہوں نے کہا کہ یہ ا ُن کی زندگی کا مشکل ترین دور تھا اور ا ُنہیں یقین ہے کہ یہ مشکل دور اب ختم ہو چکا ہے۔ محمد عامر نے کہا کہ وہ بے چینی کے ساتھ ا ُس وقت کے منتظر ہیں ،جب وہ پھر سے بین االقوامی میدانوں میں کھیل سکیں گے۔ عامر نے کہا کہ وہ بالنگ کرنا نہیں بھولے لیکن اب خود کو منوانے کے لیے اور بھی زیادہ کوشش کریں گے اور خود کو ’ایک بہرت کھالڑی اور ایک بہرت انسان‘ ثابت کرنے کے لیے کوشاں رہیں گے۔ سلامن بٹ ،محمد آصف اور محمد عامر نے برطانیہ میں قید کی بھی سزا بھگتی۔ آئی سی سی کی جانب سے ان تینوں پر کم از کم پانچ سال تک کے لیے ہر طرح کے کرکٹ مقابلوں میں حصہ لینے کی پابندی عاید کر دی گئی تھی جبکہ سلامن بٹ کو دو سال کی معطل سزائے قید کا بھی حکم سنایا گیا تھا۔ آئی سی سی کی گورننگ باڈی کی جانب سے
جمعرات کی صبح جاری کردہ اس بیان میں کہا گیا ہے’’:اے سی ایس یُو کے چیرئمین رس َرونی فلینیگن نے آئی سی سی اور پاکستانی کرکٹ بورڈ کی طرف سے پیشگی منظوری کے ساتھ فوری طور پر محمد عامر کو پاکستانی کرکٹ بورڈ کے تحت ہونے والے ملکی مقابلوں میں حصہ لینے کی اجازت دینے کا فیصلہ کیا ہے۔‘‘ اس بیان میں مزید کہا گیا ہے’’:اے سی ایس یُو کے چیرئمین اس امر پر مطمنئ ہیں کہ ممد عامر نے اے سی ایس یُو کے ساتھ مکمل طور پر تعاون کرتے ہوئے ا ُن معامالت میں اپنے کردار کے حوالے سے متام تر تفصیالت بتا دی تھیں، جن کی وجہ سے ا ُنہیں کھیلنے کے لیے نا اہل قرار دیا گیا تھا۔ ساتھ ہی محمد عامر نے اپنا قصور مانا تھا ،رشمندگی اور پچھتاوے کا اظہار کیا تھا ،معامالت کی تحقیقات کرنے والے یونٹ کے ساتھ تعاون کیا تھا اور اے سی ایس یُو کے تربیتی سیشنز کے لیے اپنے پیغامات ریکارڈ کروائے تھے۔‘‘ بائیں ہاتھ سے بالنگ کروانے والے فاسٹ بالر عامر نے جب پاکستان کی قومی ٹیم کے لیے کھیلنا رشوع کیا تھا تو ا ُنہیں ٹیم اور ملک کے لیے ایک بڑا اثاثہ قرار دیا گیا تھا کیونکہ 2010ء میں الرڈز میں کھیلے جانے والے متنازعہ ٹیسٹ میچ کے دوران ہی وہ اٹھارہ سال کی عمر میں پچاس وکٹیں لینے والے کم عمر ترین کھالڑی بن گئے تھے۔ اینٹی کرپشن کے ایک نظر ثانی شُ دہ ضابطے کے تحت کوئی بھی کھالڑی اپنے اوپر عاید کردہ پابندی کے خالف آئی سی سی کے اینٹی کرپشن یونٹ اے سی ایس یُو سے اپیل کر سکتا ہے اور اپنی پابندی کی مقررہ مدت کے خامتے سے پہلے ہی دوبارہ کھیل کا سلسلہ جاری رکھنے کی اجازت مانگ سکتا ہے۔ پاکستان کرکٹ بورڈ پی سی بی نے محمد عامر کی اپیل میں ا ُس کے ساتھ تعاون کا فیصلہ کیا تھا تاہم سلامن بٹ اور محمد آصف کے لیے کسی بھی طرح کی رعایت طلب کرنے میں تعاون کو خارج از امکان قرار دیا تھا۔ واضح رہے کہ پاکستان کے ایک اور کرکٹر اور لیگ اسپرن دانش کنیریا پر سپاٹ فکسنگ کے الزام میں 2012ء سے کرکٹ مقابلوں میں رشکت کی تاحیات پابندی چلی آ رہی ہے۔
