Fashion Report: AROUND THE GLOBE In 1970, Ralph Lauren won the COTY Award for his menswear line. Around that same time he released a line of women's suits that were tailored in a classic men's style, which was when the first Polo emblem was seen. It was on the cuff of the women's suit. Ralph Lauren released Polo's famous short sleeve mesh shirt with the Polo logo in 1972. It came out in 24 colors and soon became a classic. He is known for his hard work and love in the fashion field. He is known as 122nd richest person in the world. Ralph Lauren sells much more than fashion: He sells the life you'd like to lead. To own a creation of Ralph Lauren's, whether it's his red patentleather boots, his signature Polo shirt, or an ottoman from his furniture collection, is to savor a taste of the American dream. Ralph confirmed: “His success has come because he's stayed connected with what his customers want—and stayed true to what he wants” His collections are worth dying for and Ralph Lauren women collection Fall 2012, Runway Show was something on which a strength of woman and her boldness was defined. According to him women distinctive style possesses a worldliness that crosses settings from and Edwardian estate to Deco cityscape and traces dramatic narrative arc from the demure first act to the breath taking final scene. “I have always loved the heritage and romance of England. My women collection for Fall 2012 is about a modern glamour inspired by the timeless character and refined elegance of an authentic way of living.” –Ralph Lauren Ralph Lauren's Fall 2012 women collection focused on proper English style, from dapper menswear to glamorous, turn-of-the-century evening dresses. There were tweed and herringbone double-breasted jackets worn with jodhpurs, and Fair Isle sweaters with flannel trousers styled with newsboy caps. Collection moved to more feminine grounds with a series of ultra-luxe evening dresses, like a beautiful oneshoulder fuchsia satin gown and a black satin evening dress topped with a goldpainted ostrich feather cape. It was rich with vintage glamour and the classic themes Ralph Lauren is known for. In accessories: Cloches and newsboy caps by Patricia Underwood, platform heels, Ricky bags updated with plaid were seen. It is sure that whatever he makes. makes it with purity and Ralph Lauren’s Fall 2012 Purple Label for Men is an example of ultimate luxury. It was elegant and stylish which was dedicated to highest level of quality; it was ultimate expression of luxury for today’s gentleman. The collection was defined boldly with every single detailing, which showed a perfect Ralph Lauren signature. Visiting Ralph Lauren's showroom makes you realize how vast the vocabulary of American men's style has become, thanks in no small part to the man behind the global fashion powerhouse. A little bit dandy, a little bit rough but always slick, these characteristics are exhibited in varying degrees across Ralph Lauren's Purple Label, Black Label, Black Label Denim, Polo and RLX Ralph Lauren collections for Fall 2012. With so many lines under one house, one almost expects the well of creativity to tap out at some point. Not so this season. From the cool use of colors, particularly Purple Label's combination of loden green suiting and bold blue dress shirts to Polo's shrunken bow ties that create a more playful proportion, there was never a lack of new propositions being presented. Sharp tailoring was a focus in many of the pieces, in both suits and outerwear, and Black Label Denim's metropolitan ruggedness, found in standout leather jackets to coated motocross jeans, was a highlight.

Beauty Tips with SHAMMAL QURESHI Toni & Guy have been renowned as a pioneer and innovator within the fashion industry. They have been awarded with a “Super Brand” and “Cool Brand” officially. Toni & Guy emphasize education, product development and training and value the importance of positioning the brand in the broader context of fashion and style. Shammal Qureshi is CEO of the company and running his business in Lahore, Pakistan. He is trained in London where he completed his technical studies and had the honor of working besides and training under the founder of Toni & Guy, He is also the first Pakistani to work backstage with Toni & Guy at London Fashion Week; they are sole distributor of beauty products in Pakistan. Here is an interview with Shammal who has shared his experience and views with us. Q1: When did you first realize you wanted to become a hair stylist and how did you start it? I was in London with my mother and father and I remember we were walking around Christopher place. And I saw some really cool looking guys and girls walk out onto the street. One of them turned around and she had Toni & Guy on her T-shirt and I just casually said, you know, why don’t I become a hair stylist? My mum turned to me and said, ‘Why not.” That was that. Q2: How challenging was it for you to go for this profession as you were working for GLAXO SMITH KLINE (GSK) and, on a radio station (City fm89)? This was my passion so when I had the chance and I had done the preliminary spadework it was the natural decision. I was never cut out for stiff jobs working according to someone else’s priorities. It was the next step and I took it. I miss doing the radio show though. Q3: When it’s about creating your signature collection, how do you differ one from another? Research, research, research. Pick a theme and put a new and interesting perspective on the matter. Q4: How difficult is it to create new ideas every year? Where do you get the inspiration from? I recently wrote an article that was published in the Express Tribune Magazine describing how we go about the process of inspiration and getting our ideas down. But inspiration itself is something very personal and can come from anything. I find inspiration in beautiful artwork, architecture nature and people. Looking at great beauty inspires me and the wonderful thing is that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Q5: Any dream/wish you still long for today? I love to swim, so a swimming pool in my house would be nice. Other than that I’m quite happy with how my life has turned out. I don’t believe in having regrets and so I am happy with where my life is taking me. Q6: How do you manage your personal life and professional life? Since my wife is also into hairstyling and beauty care we both have a common interest and she’s very involved in my work. Most of my family is in Karachi and I miss them, but in the long run they’re happy that I’m doing what I want and happy. My work is hectic so it’s often hard to find time to chill out and relax but one has to make time for friends and relaxation on the weekends and holidays. Q7: Your favorite label for clothing? Republic by Omar Farooq locally and Kooples otherwise. Q8: Have you ever made a mistake while giving a haircut to your client?
14
No one’s perfect and you only learn when u make mistakes or try something new. Whenever I try something new I try doing it on a dolly head first. So my mistakes are made there until I perfect the technique. Q9: Which type of hair is trickier to handle do you think, girls or boys? That’s a tough one. Short hair for me is always more challenging because u really have to e more precise. Having said that I enjoy it more. Q10: What kind of hairstyle are you yearning to do on somebody? I’d love to give model Noore Bhatti a really short and sleek bob with a fringe someday, I think she would look really sexy in it.. That would be a challenge and really take some guts to pull off. Q11: What hair style would you prefer for girls and boys this season for daily routine? For guys I think a short on the sides and longer on the top with some wavy forelocks that can be pushed up from the front or parted; it’s versatile and simple. For women a grunge sheek inspired look with lots of undone volume. Q12: Coming up to the makeup, what type of makeup you prefer for night events and day time events. I’m not a fan of the traditional smokey dark make up at night. If not done right (which it usually is) it can look like someone has been punched in the face. Make up should attract attention without looking gaudy. These days I like silvers and blues for night and lighter pinks and oranges for the day. Nudes are really in nowadays and that can work for the day or the night but it depends on the kind of clothes you’re wearing and where you plan to wear it. Q13: Could you please give us some beauty tips which are helpful for both boys and girls? Eat healthy, get exercise, don’t smoke – it ages the skin – use a face wash a toner and exfoliate once a week. If you are out in the sun remember to use a sunscreen! The sun is the number one cause of ageing. Also come to us for haircut once a month, and we’ll make you look awesome. Q14. Hairstyling needs lots blow drying and straightening, how one can prevent their hairs from damaging. Any tip? Always use a heat protector! Really makes a difference. Q15: A perfect style matters a lot when it’s about overall look. Your opinion on that? You have to coordinate what you’re going to wear and dress appropriate to the situation and the impression you want to create but I think YSL put it best when he said that ‘Fashion fades but style is eternal’. Whatever your style, if that’s what you’re comfortable with, that’s what will work for you. It’s good to get outside your comfort zone and experiment but always remember who you are in your selfexpression. Q16: It is said that accessories contribute in a substantial way to the overall look of a person. Would you agree? How important do you think they are? Accessorizing is very important. If you think about it, how you do your hair is also a form of accessorizing your body. Accessories can add much needed glam to an outfit or really add a subtle touch that people will appreciate. Q17: What three things do you think are important for appropriate dressing for a complete look? Good shoes, belt and a watch. Q18. Any tip/message for upcoming stylists? If you love it, then do it, and go for it 100%. And always remember that no matter how outlandish, your customer is always right. Thank you for your time... Wish you success!

Celebrity Messages: SABINA PASHA Hey there readers! You must be wondering sometime in your life, what is a good fashion sense and how to have that 'class' in your get-up or probably evening a simple hairdo! Well I will begin by saying that good fashion sense is all about having a sense of what really suits you. I feel our designers are really mixing the old and new to form an eclectic change in the art of getting dressed up. Couture has deep implications on our society, values and traditions. The wider we see this field develop, the more hope arises for the Pakistani fashion industry. A few names i solely respect the most for their work include Ayesha Hashwani bringing the royal touch, Ali Zeeshan bringing the Mughal era to life again and HSY bringing in a revolution of fabric and design that has turned the tables in our industry, Kami touching a bit of Paris and Akif with his colorful Swati work! Yet I feel that young boys and girls these days are copying celebrities too strictly and that they should try to modulate their clothing aspirations to our society and boost up their energetic seasons of the heart. Nevertheless i believe that one should wear what floats their boat and whatever one feels comfortable in. being it to Shalwar Kameez or probably a lavish evening gown, it depends what you truely are and whatever you feel best in! astalavista budz. xx

Performing Arts KURT COBAIN Born February 20, 1967, best known for his band “Nirvana” arguably the best grunge band of all time, raised in a broken family, Kurt Cobain was a excitable yet sensitive kid, at the age of seven after his parents divorced his personality changed dramatically, at this time he was defiant and withdrawn, he behaved insolently towards adults, although at an very early age his artistic mind was evident, he would sit there for hours drawing picture perfect sketches of “Aqua-man”, he was indeed talented to the core but there was really something different about this boy, from an early age, Kurt had a ongoing case of bronchitis and stomach pain, bullied throughout the school, no one would have thought that later on this kid would change the course of music, forever. 1987, Aberden, Washington, “Nirvana” came into being. It included Kurt Cobain as the singer/guitarist alongside Krist Novoselic as the bassist, while the band went through a succession of drummers the longest lasting was Dave Grohl, in the late 1980’s “Nirvana” established itself as the part of seattle grunge scene, the first album “Bleach” came out in 1989 for the independent record label “Sub Pop”. eventually “Nirvana” began to develop a dynamically contrasted sound which really nerved upon the ear, with some quite verses and louder chorus they were signed for the major record label DGC records, an unexpected turn of events caused their first single from second album “Nervermind” to be an instant hit, the song was “Smells like teen spirit” which is now rated amongst the top ten best songs of all time ( Listed by the magazine “Rolling Stone”) this followed with an another album “Utero” in 1993 far more commercial album released by the band, Kurt Cobain became the spokesman of the generation, feeling his emotions and rage through his scorching loud vocals were the fans which started praising him as a saint/prophet, nonetheless a great musician he was. Kurt first met Courtney Love in 1989 at a show in Portland, instantly she developed a crush on him, she began to persuade Cobain, while he remained reluctant, he stated “I wasn’t sure if I wanted a relationship, but I also liked her a lot”, in 1991 Kurt and Courtney began dating, the two were bonded by mutual drug use at times. Around the Nirvana’s performance in Saturday night live 1992, Courtney found about her pregnancy and after few days they were married in Wakiki Beach in Hawai, Courtney wore a satin and lace dress and Cobain wore green pajamas stating “I was too lazy to put on a tux”, On 18th August, 1992 the couple’s daughter Frances Bean Cobain was born. Kurt was often haunted by the tabloid reporters and journalists who frequently questioned him about his drug use, which was killing him softly, Kurt was linked with drugs throughout his career, LSD and heroin got him going, He had breakouts of depression at times. On March 18, 1994, Love phoned Seattle police informing them that Cobain was suicidal and had locked himself in a room with a gun. Police arrived and confiscated several guns and a bottle of pills from Cobain, who insisted that he was not suicidal and had locked himself in the room to hide from Love. When questioned by police, Love said that Cobain had never mentioned that he was suicidal and that she had not seen him with a gun. 19
On April 8, 1994, Cobain's body was discovered at his Lake Washington home by an electrician who had arrived to install a security system. Apart from a minor amount of blood coming out of Cobain's ear, the electrician reported seeing no visible signs of trauma, and initially believed that Cobain was asleep until he saw the shotgun pointing at his chin. A note was found, addressed to Cobain's childhood imaginary friend "Boddah", that stated that Cobain hadn't "felt the excitement of listening to as well as creating music, along with really writing . . . for too many years now". A high concentration of heroin and traces of diazepam were also found in his body. Cobain's body had been lying there for days; the coroner's report estimated Cobain to have died on April 5, 1994. Kurt’s last words in his note were: “I can't stand the thought of Frances becoming the miserable, self-destructive, death rocker that I've become. I have it good, very good, and I'm grateful, but since the age of seven, I've become hateful towards all humans in general. Only because it seems so easy for people to get along and have empathy. Only because I love and feel sorry for people too much I guess. Thank you all from the pit of my burning, nauseous stomach for your letters and concern during the past years. I'm too much of an erratic, moody, baby! I don't have the passion anymore, and so remember, it's better to burn out then to fade away.Peace, Love, Empathy. Kurt Cobain, Frances and Courtney, I'll be at your altar. Please keep going Courtney, for Frances. for her life will be so much happier without me. I love you, I love you” Kurt’s death will always remain a mystery for his fans and his admirers, Maybe one day we’ll uncover the truth, until then Kurt’s and Nirvana’s legacy lives up to the name, Described as the best songwriter of all time his lyrics drip deep thought provoking messages, yet hated by many and confronted by none, He can never fade away, Over these years I have developed a spiritual relationship with this guy, He’s like my “anam cara” (ancient Celtic word) which translates into “friend of soul”. Like he once said, “Faking it is the worst crime,” just to make sure I am not faking all this. When I started listening to his music I buried the reality of his demise because in my heart he was very much still alive. Rest in peace, Kurt Cobain.

USB ENGLISH Music Charts 1. One More Night - Maroon 5 Maroon 5 continue their journey into perky, mainstream pop territory. This time they adopt a reggae beat for summer pop radio. It is all cheerful, upbeat and fun to hear. However, "One More Night" does sound a bit formulaic. Will we get bored with this version of Maroon 5 soon? From the first "Ooo ooo" chorus out of Adam Levine's mouth to kick off "One More Night," mainstream pop fans will know they are about to be hooked once again by today's extremely pop friendly version of Maroon 5. It is underlined by a reggae beat, and you can almost feel the warmth of the sun. There is a bit of a disconnect when the lyrics kick off with, "You and I go hard at each other like we're goin' to war," but the catchiness of the music is irresistible. Adam Levine may sing words that say he is miserable in a dysfunctional relationship, but you can't tell it by the mood conveyed in the music.
2. We are never ever getting back together -Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift is never ever getting back together with you; unless you're in a furry costume? That's at least one of the takeaways from the first video for "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," the hit new single from the pop-country singer.
boyfriend, and only finds solace (and "we-HEEEEs") with her friends, a group of furry-costume wearing musicians. Since its release, "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" has been on top of the Billboard Hot 100 charts. It sold a record-setting 623,000 digital copies during its debut week.
3. Some Nights - Fun Music is awesom e: It’s easy to forget this among the twitter slapfests and ugly breakups — but you’ll remember when a new track has you dancing around your room. It is to the songs that get us to scream in our cars, stomp on our floors, and lip sync on the subway that we owe the most. Fun’s ‘Some Nights’ is one of those. ‘Some Nights’ has a peanut butterchocolate ice cream level combination of influences. Queen, Michael Jackson and Paul Simon are three of the first to come to mind (though Passion Pit and other contemporary acts are there as well). This is as immediate as immediate gets, a tidal wave of Auto-Tuned gospel choir voices sending us awash in inspiration. The dude’s reminding us of a certain other self-conscious and flamboyant superstar: Kanye West, whose ‘808s and Heartbreaks’ era Auto-Tune are all over this track and the rest of the album. But while Yeezy’s was all despondent robotics, Ruess’ anomie is animated, amping up into a Freddy Mercury-style introspection via projection. That’s what makes such a highly produced, even ornate track so accessible: We can’t help but sing along with Ruess when the vague fears he articulates are so much our own. This is the power of pop music: Like a sung mantra, the ooh-oh-oohs here are a joyous confessional. Yes, some nights bands and couples break up, some nights we wish this all would end — and some nights we just can’t stop dancing.
As you might guess, the song -- off Swift's upcoming album Red -details a poisonous, break-up/makeup relationship that Swift finds "exhausting." (No word yet on which of Swift's famous exes the break-up anthem is about.) In the video, Swift goes back and forth with her hipster

4. Whistle -Flo Rida We continue to be astounded by Flo Rida's pulling power. In fact, we'd be grateful if someone could explain to us how he manages to scale the charts quicker than an Olympic pole vaulter with next to no promotion while other new releases from the likes of Nelly Furtado and Aiden Grimshaw are limping up the top 40. Even more surprising is that in this instance, the Florida-born rapper hasn't relied on an accomplice to bolster the song's commercial appeal. He's not even dug out a song from yesteryear to sample. In that sense, 'Whistle' could be the most original song Flo Rida has turned out to date; even if the metaphor dreamed up by its thirteen coproducers is anything but.
5. Blow me (One Last Kiss) -P!nk Pink is back and up to her old tricks with ‘Blow Me (One Last Kiss).’ The final version (a much more polished product than her leaked demo) hit the web today (July 2) and hits shelves tomorrow (July 3). From the tongue-in-cheek title to the barn burning chorus, the toughyet-vulnerable gal blasts another breakup track akin to ‘So What’ — but does she succeed? You bet she does. The song begins with electronic touches before evolving quickly into pop-rock in terms of instrumentals. The track is signature Pink, from the harmonies to the rock-style drums to ‘Raise Your Glass’-esque shout-along chorus to the liquor references. Much like the original ‘Raise Your Glass,’ if this played in your local pub — where it certainly wouldn’t be out of place — you’d be compelled to actually raise your glass, despite her not explicitly instructing you to do so this time.

Nokia Lumina 800:

Nokia has officially announced the Lumia 800, the company’s first Windows Phone. Borrowing the style and construction of the Nokia N9, the Lumia 800 is, according to Nokia CEO Stephen Elop, “the first real Windows Phone.” That’s unlikely to go down well with HTC, Samsung and other manufacturers also onboard with Windows Phone, but Nokia says it’s playing for the top spot in smart phones once more. Like the N9, the Lumia 800 will be offered in black, cyan and magenta, using a CNC milled polycarbonate casing. Unlike the N9 it gets a dedicated camera button, along with three touch-sensitive buttons under the display for the usual Windows Phone functionality. There’s an 8-megapixel f2.2 camera on the back, with a dualLED flash, along with Carl-Zeiss wide angle optics and a curved Clear Black display. There’s Nokia Drive for turn-by-turn directions preloaded, with a dedicated home screen tile, with full voice-guidance that comes bundled with each purchase of the device. As on previous Nokia phones, you can predownload maps so as to avoid roaming charges, but if you venture outside of the area you’ve downloaded it will automatically go online to grab the relevant mapping. Then there’s music, with Nokia Music preloaded onto the Lumia 800. It features Mix Radio, a new option which offers locallyrelevant, pre-mixed playlists of tracks through the Windows Phone Music pane.Nokia has partnered with ESPN to bring a sports hub to its Windows Phones, offering game and player stats for a variety of sports..Obviously, the other windows phone options. The Nokia Lumia 800 is already being prepped and packed, and is
TuneBug Vibe (Portable-speaker):
Ever wish you have had great speakers everywhere with you to jam to your tunes on your mp3 player or even pump onto better bass from the iPad, but don’t want to carry around a bulky speaker system? Tunebug solves that problem with a device called Vibe. What this small and very portable device does is that is turns anything into a flat panel speaker system with their patented Surface Sound technology. What you get in the box is the Vibe, 3.5 mm audio cable, Usb to 3.5 mm charging cable, sound base/case and the manual. The Vibe has a brushed metal housing and weighs 5.3oz. It feels great holding it and even looks great too. There is only one button on the top for on/off functionality. The 3.5mm audio jack is on the side. It has a built-in liPoly 45omAH battery rated for 5 hours playtime. On the bottom of the Vibe is the Surface Surround technology which creates the sound waves that transfer any surface to a flat panel. The sound base/case is nicely padded to protect the Vibe. But it's more than a box to house the Vibe. It also has nice flat surface to place the Vibe on and produce great sounding speaker from it. I think so it's worth buying because of the great build quality and awesome Surface Surround technology to create great sounding speakers from any flat surface.

Taking aim at the perceived flaws in Apple's iPad, Microsoft unveiled Surface, a tablet computer that comes with a detachable rubberized keyboard that also acts like a book cover. It is 9.3 millimeters thick and works on the Windows RT operating system which was made for tablets that run on low-power chips designed by British chipmaker ARM Holdings PLC. It comes with a kickstand to hold it upright and a touch keyboard cover that snaps on using magnets. The size is similar to the latest iPad, which is 9.4 millimeters thick and weighs about 590 grams. Microsoft's broadside against the iPad is a dramatic step to ensure that its Windows software plays a major role in the increasingly important mobile computing market. A slightly thicker version — still less than 14 millimeters thick and under 907 grams — will work on Microsoft's upcoming Windows 8 Pro operating system and cost as much as an Ultrabook, the company said. The pro version comes with a stylus that allows users to make handwritten notes on documents such as PDF files. The release date is not revealed yet.

Roger Federer Roger Federer (Winner of Wimbledon 2012 men), the greatest tennis player of all time set his focus on becoming numero uno during his childhood only. Roger Federer was born on August 8, 1981, in Binningen near Basel, Switzerland. Federer considers German as his main language, but he is also fluent in the French and English languages. We see a thread of simplicity is visible in his lifestyle as well. He owns simple and elegant upper middle class houses and apartments and only frequent flying schedule due to matches around the globe has forced him to buy a private jet. He married his long time girlfriend Mirka in 2009 and has two twin daughters with her. FedEx is also known for his humanitarian work and was named 2010 Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in recognition of his leadership, accomplishments and contributions to society. Roger Federer brands include Rolex, Wilson, Nike, Mercedes Benz. From scratch, Federer took an interest in sports at an early age, playing tennis and soccer at the age of 8. At the age of 12, he decided to quit other sports and focus all his efforts on tennis. At 14, he became the national junior champion in Switzerland, and was chosen to train at the Swiss National Tennis Center in Ecublens. He joined the International Tennis Federation junior tennis circuit in July 1996. In 1998, shortly before he turned pro Federer won the junior Wimbledon title and the Orange Bowl. He erupted after hitting dumb shots and rarely went through a day without hurling his racket against the fence. Roger could not understand this. He was never rude to umpires, linesmen or opposing players. His anger was reserved for himself. He turned pro in 1998. He became the first Swiss man to win a Grand Slam title, when he won the Wimbledon 2003 singles. Federer challenged for the top ranking during 2003 by defeating top ranked player. He finished the year at World No. 2. In 2004 Federer won the Australian Open, the U.S. Open, the ATP Masters, and retained the Wimbledon singles title. He was ranked No. 1 at the start of 2005, and his successes that year include the Wimbledon singles title (for a third successive year) and the U.S. Open. In 2006, he won the Australian Open, his fourth successive Wimbledon singles title and his third U.S. Open. In 2008, Federer beat Scottish player Andy Murray at the U.S. Open—his fifth U.S. Open win.
40
However, that year proved to be a difficult time in Federer's career: he lost to longtime rival Rafael Nadal at both the French Open and Wimbledon. The Wimbledon final went on all day almost literally, thanks to the rain delays it lasted over seven hours, with nearly five hours of breathtaking tennis. Most people who watched the two superstars battle said it was the greatest match they’d ever seen. A month later, Nadal surpassed Roger as the #1 player in the world. Roger had held that honor for a remarkable 237 consecutive weeks, easily eclipsing the men’s record (160, by Jimmy Connors) and women’s record (186, by Steffi Graf). He lost to another rival, Novak Djokovic, at the 2008 Australian Open. In 2009, he hit the courts looking to reclaim the top spot. In the Austrailian open he lost the finals to Rafeal Nadal. His 14th Grand Slam singles titles matched the record established seven years earlier by Pete Sampras. Roger broke that record in July when he won Wimbledon for the seventh time. With that victory, Roger regained the #1 world ranking from Nadal. With this win, he reached his 20th Grand Slam final, surpassing the previous record of 19 set by Lendl. At the U.S. Open, Roger scored a comeback win over Hewitt—his 14th match win in a row against his old nemesis—and beat Djokovic again to reach the finals. On the second-to-last point of the match, Roger hit a passing shot from between his legs. He later called it the greatest shot of his life. Two days later, the crowd at Flushing Meadows was stunned when Roger fell short of the title, losing to Juan Martin del Porto. It marked the first time he had lost a Grand Slam final to anyone other than Nadal. Roger looked spent after his U.S. Open loss. He played through aches and pains the rest of the season, losing to del Porto and (for the first time ever) Djokovic in the ATP World Tour Finals. He then lost to Robin Soderling and Nikolay Davydekno in his first 2010 tournaments. We see that this September however, Federer made a disappointing showing at the U.S. Open. He lost to Tomas Berdych in the quarterfinals. According to his website, Federer failed to find his groove during the match. "So many moments, I thought, ‘Man, it’s just not happening for me.'" Despite not making the semifinals at the U.S. Open for the first time since 2003, Federer was able to hold on to his number-one ranking. But yeah HE IS THE BEST. Simply Roger Federer is the greatest tennis player of all time and no one in the history of tennis has ever achieved this much number of records .But keep in mind that he is not finished yet. There is more to come!

TRAVEL: What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. Can you hear the perpetual heartbeat that never dies down? The shuffling of cards, the clicking of roulette wheel, the clatter of tossed dice, the spinning of slot machine, a whisper prayer for 21- This is it! The music of Las Vegas. When somebody says 'Casinos' the only place that strikes our mind is 'Las Vegas'. A place where time and money are never enough, where clocks don't exist and you become a millionaire with the blink of an eye. The moment you hit Vegas you better kick up a few glasses of a drink maybe a vodka, gin or a tequila and then set out to have your wildest dreams come true. (literally!) •
Bellagio Fountains: An 8.5 acre lake in the middle of a desert with 1,214 spritzers that shoot water up to 460 feet in air.
•
Cirque de soleil: This here is a bit pricey. The tickets can go up to $165 per person, but it's worth it. They hire former Olympic gymnasts that catapult themselves over the stage. You need 3 hours from an evening to enjoy this. It probably sounds a bit boring but believe me this is TOTALLY Vegas.
•
Clubs: We generally hate clubs due to their painfully loud music, too-sweet, over price drinks, and people who are generally SO much better looking than us. But if you want to stare at young girls dancing on a table or go to a strip joint then 'spearmint rhino' and 'crazy horse too' is your thing. Happy?! Now get out there and dance no matter how drunk and wasted you might be.
•
Pool parties - so Vegas-ish: There's dirty Vegas — strip clubs, hookers, cocaine, hotel room swingers — and there's filthy Vegas: pool parties. The theory to pool partying is this: Why go to a strip club when you can let the strippers come to you. We'd usually stick with the just slightly more adult pool/club scenes. (topless is strongly encouraged so no kids) You'll have to pay to get in these (usually $10-$20 for women and $30-$50 for men) which is kind of ridiculous but believe me you'd be spending a whole lot more inside and later when you'll be checking into a hotel with somebody you met while partying. Whew! Watching live sharks on your TV at 4am when you're completely wasted is pretty awesome. ;)
•
The Spas: Why would somebody come to Vegas and be under stimulated? (It would be like visiting a holy place and eating pork) But apparently some people think massage as decadence. It took a while for this town to understand that women exist as something more than entertainment to men, but they've finally got it. ;)
•
Downtown and pokers: Now maybe a few of you are feeling like Nicolas Cage from the movie leaving Las Vegas and now maybe all this Vegas isn't quite right for your suicidal mood and that's when you hit the really tiny, old part of Vegas where you feel like an outlaw and spend your night playing poker.
•
If you've got time: After all that if you've still got time you can hit the Liberace museum, the small over price but legit Gallery of fine art and the weird zoo exhibits of tigers and dolphins at Mirage or you can go to the gun store where without anything less than a drivers license spend all day shooting tommy guns, Ak-40's, SAWs, Uzis, M-16s and MP-40s for less than $100.
If all this doesn't complete your fully American experience of the most American city you can always go to a Chappell and marry a stranger. ;)

No Strings Attached Syeda Javeria Hassan ‘To love is to die’, ‘When fallen in love then there’s no need to feel afraid’, Love can erase every bitter thing coming your way’. These are some of those millions of quotations which we hear in our everyday lives; be it lyrics of songs, tag lines of products, movies, forward sms and much more. Due to the monotony of those lovey dovey talks, those Valentines days, those serious relationships, those late night calls which start with ‘baby’ and end with the same word, those promises/memories/heartbreaks which never seem to fade away. To avoid the heartbreak and a restriction upon one’s own self for not having eyes on other guys or girls except for their own partner. Why not try something new! Why not have fun and get tied to a bond of commitment but still not get tied to it. Why not satisfying one’s own self just for the sake of having fun. Why not having friends for benefits! A simple and easy way not to let one’s own self get entitled by ‘Depression ka mareez’, feeling miserable and going through mood swings in every other hour, getting addicted to Adele’s ‘Someone like you’ or Meesha Shafi’s ‘Dasht-e-Tanhai’ just because they remind you of the bitter past related to a much hate able person who you were once in love with is by having The Boss Like Casanova attitude. A friend once said, ’I wouldn’t even be talking to this ugly piece of nobody if she wasn’t satisfying my needs for no apparent reason at all.’ What he said to me kept on haunting my mind just like the thoughts of a non-existent Emily Rose who would come out of my closet and scare the life out of me if I’d seen the Exorcism alone at night. Secondly, the thoughts of that ‘poor girl’ came in to my mind who was being used. Considering the fact that she was a friend of mine as well I decided to talk to her about this issue and tell her about the unfaithful man she was dating. But to my surprise, not exactly but she said the same things that unfaithful boyfriend of hers! And I had my eyes become wider and my mouth open as if a yummy zinger burger was awaiting my bite when I heard all of it. Then, I realized that what a living fantasy it was! Having someone as a need satisfying partner is much more beneficial because you don’t have to lie to them if you were late night out with friends, you aren’t answerable to them, you don’t have to abide by the rules they make and most importantly you don’t have to FALL IN LOVE. This fever of being with a friend with benefit has widespread across many teenagers and people who have even reached adulthood. Most of them feel that it was worth the time and forget what happened stating it as a night that passed related to a particular event that passed too, stating it as a ‘No String Attached’ which clearly explains it as a relationship worth no feelings and which is not bond with love even. But some idiotic heads make the mistake of falling in love and getting messed up again. But then, it’s not about getting serious with the other one but it’s about having fun. Not about how many other women are being used by him what matters the most is that he’s being used by you!

DO NOT'S FOR A GUY WHILE ON A DATE 1- Wandering Eye Syndrome Too often guys eyes wander around when talking to women. THIS IS SOMETHING THEY MUST GET RID OF. Women feel terribly insulted when their eyes wanders off elsewhere, as this shows that something besides themselves has won over your attention and in that brief moment, you actually lost interest in them. So, whether it be a hot babe or captain Jack sparrow, do your best to refrain from having your eye wander off. Respect your date, give her your undivided attention, at least when she's around 2. Treat every Date As a First Date Okay, this doesn't only apply to the first date, it applies to the first few dates. There are certain rules and protocols that govern the tradition of first dates, lol. They must adhere by them. Don't immediately jump into things, even if there were sparks and the stars aligned on your first date. You'll only regret it in the future if you don't know a girl enough before fully committing yourself. In other words, never skip "The Friend phase". 3. Do Not Invade Her Personal Space Everyone needs their own personal space, don't get too close on the first date, or the second, or as long as you do not officially have been given the "Go Ahead" sign from her. Sure, she may have agreed to go out for lunch with you, but foreplay definitely wasn't one of her orders. So, be wary of invading her personal space as you wouldn't want to make her feel uncomfortable in any way when she's out with you. You want to leave the best impression you can at the end of the date, and being touchy and invasive isn't one of them 4. Do Not Bring Up The Ex-Girlfriends Your ex-girlfriends are not something you should / could boast about, there's absolutely nothing nice to hear about it. Women hate to hear about the ex, as it draws a subconscious immediate comparison battle in every aspect with the ex. Perhaps you could replace "I went with my ex to..." to "I went with my female friend to...", there should absolutely be no mention of them. You're moving on with your life with dating again, so the past memories should be left behind too. Any mention of your ex-girlfriend only makes the girl you're currently going out with think that you haven't gotten over them, if not, why should you ever mention them? It's a universal understood rule not to. 5. Do Not Get Jealous You may have withheld not saying anything about your ex-girlfriends, but she may have not done the same about her ex-boyfriends. Always learn to play it cool and calm. Never ever let jealousy take over and rule your decisions, you'll only turn sour and spoil the date. In fact, it would be better to join in the "discussions" about her ex-boyfriends if she does bring it up, show how mature and unaffected you are by them. Also, don't hyperventilate at every message she receives from a guy, you don't own her, and even if you did as you two are together already, it's never nice to force her to compromise her guy friends over you. HAPPY DATING :D

Horoscope Aries A developing interest in a fellow worker could cause you some headaches on several levels unless you are able to cool it. Office romances seldom follow a smooth path and if it is serious, one or the other should consider a change of employment, if possible. In health matters, follow the advice of your physician, regardless of the seeming inconvenience. Taurus Your vacation plans could be spoiled by carelessness involving planning procedures. Pay special attention to such matters as vehicle safety and reliability. Seek to avoid arguments concerning financial matters, particularly with persons who have no direct interest. Romance could take a side-trip along interesting avenues, but caution should be used when a situation involves someone previously committed. Gemini An old love affair, kept on the back burner for a lengthy period, could either flame up suddenly or die quietly, depending on your reaction to a touchy situation. Individual cases may vary, but the latter course could prove the wisest in the long run for many. Avoid unnecessary arguments with colleagues over credit for minor accomplishments. Cancer An ability to say the right thing at the right time is to be treasured — but sometimes, it is better to say nothing at all. An urgent appeal for financial help should be handled carefully, but a minor amount of money might prove less expensive than injured feelings. Excitement in romance could be intoxicating, but make sure you view the entire picture before saying yes. Leo When planning a trip, be sure to make important reservations well ahead of time, confirming them with a deposit if necessary. Steer clear of office malingerers and backbiters, as you may be lumped with them when it comes time to separate the sheep from the goats. Exercise your will power when it comes to making major purchases of luxury items. If there is no need, there will be little pleasure. Virgo Precaution is advised when dealing with one whose vision is limited by jealousy. Anything you say can — and probably will — be used against you if things come to a showdown. Romantic plans could go awry if you are unable to overcome a tendency to flirt indiscriminately. Make the most of your talents and let other know of your abilities. Avoid overindulgence in eating or drinking. Libra This could be your lucky month, if you take advantage of the opportunities that may come your way. Make sure that you clear up any old debts that might be hanging and don’t neglect an important letter that needs writing. A new love partner could enter your life now, but you may not be able to notice him or her because of being too tied up with inconsequential matters. Scorpio Get back to nature. Find your pleasures in simpler things and don’t be too tied to modern conveniences and frivolities. Expect a certain amount of trouble resulting from an overindulgent appetite. You could avoid some of the problems, however, if you rely on the advice of an old friend. Career matters could improve and you may be in line for a promotion or increase in income if you move fast. Sagittarius Set your mind to the task and you will find it not nearly as difficult as you thought at first. In dealing with an old flame who no longer ignites you, try to be both gentle and truthful. Operating within your own framework will prove to be much more profitable to you than striking out for unknown fields. Begin a savings plan now, however modest. Capricorn Your latent creative talents have lain hidden long enough. Now is the time to trot them out and run them up the flagpole. If no one salutes, you won’t have lost anything, but if they do, you could be in for some surprising changes in your lifestyle. An excellent chance for matrimony awaits many unmarried Capricorns and — perhaps — for some who are. Aquarius A trip to another city or climate could open things up for you and prove to be much more interesting than you had imagined. Stop mistreating your body, particularly with excesses of food and drink, and your general health will improve dramatically. If you are in the mood for romance, don’t stand on ceremony and let the object of your affections know how you feel. Career problems may improve suddenly. Pisces A new business partnership could enhance your earnings if you choose one who is industrious and talented. Do not become involved with those who merely talk a good game, however. In romantic activity, keep things light and don’t commit yourself too early in the game. Parental concerns could be paramount to you, but may become less of a problem if you are frank.
