Definitions:

Equity: Refers to ensuring that individuals and groups from diverse backgrounds and perspectives, specifically historically marginalized and underrepresented populations, have equal and fair access to opportunities, resources, and experiences.

Inclusion: The active, intentional, and ongoing engagement of the diversity of a company or organization in order to create equal access, well-being, and a sense of belonging for all its members.

Financial Aid

Kortschak Center for Learning and Creativity

Campus Support and Intervention - Provides support for students who are facing challenges that impact their ability to succeed, including help identifying options and connecting with relevant resources.

Offers financial assistance for students such as; federal, state and university grants, loans and scholarships.

Offers individualized coaching services, skill-building workshops, groups, and outreach to the USC community to serve individuals with diverse learning needs and to empower students to reach their full academic and creative potential.

Office of Student Accessibility Services

Responds to all reports of discrimination and harassment based on a protected characteristic, such as racial and sexual harassment, and related retaliation. EEO-TIX also offers supporting resources as well as outreach and education efforts to promote an inclusive and welcoming learning, working, living, and patient care environment.

Ensures equal access for students with disabilities in compliance with state and federal law; is committed to serving the USC community through ensuring equal access, removing disabilityrelated obstacles, supporting civil rights, and increasing education and awareness on behalf of students with disabilities.

Confidential Advocacy, Resources, and Education — Support Center (CARE-SC)

Campus Support and Intervention – Helps students to navigate complex issues by supporting students to problem solve, understand their options, and connect with resources.

Offers guidance and educational programs on well-being for the entire USC community.

Offers confidential student support couseling and services around mental health and well-being.

Provides the university community the opportunity to pursue a balanced, healthy lifestyle through participation in recreational activities.

Provides prevention, outreach, and counseling for gender-based violence. CARE-SC Advocates serve as confidential 1st responders and are available 24/7 for students who have experienced gender-based and power-based harm and violence (e.g. sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, gender harassment, sexual harassment, sexual exploitation, and physical/cyberstalking).

Transgender Care

USC Student Health is committed to providing comprehensive, integrated care for transgender students at USC. We understand that gender is a complex mix of cultural, biological and psychological factors. We use an integrative health model that can assist students with information and support related to transgender, genderqueer and non-binary health and wellness.

Provides anonymous platform to share concerns about a member of the Trojan Family so professional staff can offer support to individuals who may be struggling. Trojans Care 4 Trojans

Department of Public Safety (DPS)

Supports the diverse aspirations, identities, and experiences of Trojans as they seek professional opportunities.

Provides a safe and secure environment on campus and in the local USC community that allows students, faculty, staff and campus visitors to realize their academic and social pursuits.

Fraternity and Sorority Leadership Development (FSLD)

Cultivates a community that supports, educates, and engages members to thrive in their pursuit of belonging and purpose while linking to a sisterhood or brotherhood that shares your goals and values.

Offers opportunities for exploring the spiritual dimensions of your life and learning including programs with a moral, religious, or spiritual focus.

Office of the Ombuds

Student Advocacy Groups and Resources

Provides a safe and confidential place to share any USC-related concerns, conflicts, or challenging situations. Ombuds respond to concerns raised by deeply listening, exploring strategies, generating options, and sharing resources. The Office of the Ombuds also offers other services, including facilitated conversations and mediations.

Provides resources such as student support groups, student services, advocacy contacts, school-specific initiatives, and financial aid opportunities.

Trojan Shelter

Undocumented Trojans Online Resource Center

Student for student model that offers housing and resources for college students experiencing homelessness in the Los Angeles area.

Provides campus resources and programs for undocumented, DACAmented, TPS, and immigrant students, faculty, staff and the community.

Asian Pacific American Student Services (APASS)

Center for Black Cultural and Student Affairs (CBCSA)

First Generation Plus Support Center (FG+SC)

Offers programming designed to educate, engage, and empower students. Facilitates dialogues, community building, and empowerment while serving as a source of cross-cultural educational programming for the campus.

Provides intentional programming designed to strengthen the understanding of Black diasporic heritage. Provides a variety of resources to enhance the experience of all Black students at USC.

Serves as resource hub for students that identify as first-generation, undocumented, former foster youth, and transfer students as they navigate campus and provides support in building community.

Latinx/Chicanx Center for Advocacy and Student Affairs (La CASA)

Provides empowerment through cultural identity development, leadership and community building for undergraduate and graduate students at USC.

LGBTQ+ Student Center

Offers support and programming across the multiple intersections of identities within the diverse LGBTQ+ community. Welcomes students from across the gender and sexual identity spectra and is dedicated to providing an affirming space for all community members.
