TOWNSHIP OF UPPER ST. CLAIR RECREATION & LEISURE SERVICES
Message from the Recreation and Leisure Services Team Our Vision
Enhance the quality of life by providing unparalleled public recreation facilities, open natural spaces and programs for our citizens and surrounding communities. Greetings! I encourage you to look through the 2018-19 fall/winter Community Recreation Guide, and discover the great activities The Township of Upper St. Clair Recreation Department has to offer. Upper St. Clair Recreation has numerous programs, special events, and opportunities available for all age groups. Be sure to check out this season’s newest additions and longtime favorites. Recently, I had someone ask me what I thought one of our biggest strengths could be. Besides offering clean, updated facilities, quality programs, and dedicated, professional staff, I immediately thought of our location. We are a public recreation center situated in a beautiful, 500-acre park. This unique setting enables visitors to experience our programs/facilities, trails, playground, and open greenspace all in one stop. Participating in recreation programs help us to improve our well-being, reduce stress, and increase our selfesteem. Socially, the Recreation Department strives to help families build strong bonds and promote community spirit. Economically, the Upper St. Clair and surrounding communities benefit from enhanced property values. The programs, services, events and opportunities that the recreation department provide positively impacts our society in numerous ways. We encourage all residents of the community as well as surrounding neighbors to come together in promoting an active and healthy lifestyle by participating in recreational activities at both the Community & Recreation Center and within our Township parks. Please enjoy our offerings. Please enjoy our offerings. Sincerely, Paul Besterman Director of Recreation and Leisure Services Township of Upper St. Clair
