ELDA Leaders Exploring Administrative Possibilities (LEAP) Program
Program Overview The Educational Leadership Development Academy (ELDA) at the University of San Diego (USD) offers the Leaders Exploring Administrative Possibilities (LEAP) Program, which engages highly qualified and motivated students in leadership development. The curriculum in LEAP is designed to provide students with the knowledge, experience and support needed for a successful and sustained career in school leadership. Students will explore their potential as leaders while studying effective management practices in schools, network with other educators including local school district and university faculty, practice newly-acquired leadership skills, and receive feedback and coaching from ELDA staff and LEAP mentors. The program begins with a three-day LEAP Summer Leadership Institute and continues from September through March with monthly seminars. A culminating activity is held in the spring.
