BIOTECHNOLOGY CONCENTRATION Study the burgeoning biotech field and its place within today’s global marketplace. Located in the heart of the San Francisco Bay Area, the birthplace of biotechnology, and the world’s largest bio-innovation hub, students have the opportunity to visit major global bio-clusters and network with leading biotech professionals.

INFORMATION SECURITY CONCENTRATION Study issues in the identification, authentication, and authorization for enterprise-level protective systems. Analyze network security – from architecture to firewalls to intrusion and response mechanisms – and understand auditing processes. Tackle the issues, developments, and challenges that surround enterprise network infrastructure and information security.

THEORY IN PRACTICE Offered at our San Jose campus, the USF MSIS program is taught in the epicenter of innovation – Silicon Valley. Experience firsthand how effective and efficient use of information technology is an integral part of an organization’s ability to achieve a competitive advantage in both the private and public sectors.
