SOUTHERN MISS TROMBONE DAY REGISTRATION FORM
Dr. Bruce Tychinski is Assistant Professor of Trombone at The University of Southern Mississippi. At Southern Miss, Dr. Tychinski teaches applied lessons on trombone, courses in trombone literature and pedagogy, and conducts the trombone choir. He also performs as Principal Trombonist of the Gulf Coast Symphony and with the Southern Arts Brass Quintet. Dr. Tychinski has led the Southern Miss Trombone Choir on a tour of Germany, recorded for the USM compact disc Holiday Gold, and will take the ensemble to perform at the 2010 Eastern Trombone Workshop in Washington D.C.
Participants who pre-register will be sent music for the trombone choir via email, receive a Trombone Day t-shirt, and pay a reduced registration fee of $35. Registration at the door is $45, a t-shirt is included only while supplies are available, and you will receive music at the first rehearsal of the trombone choir. PLEASE PRINT NEATLY

Mark Mullins has made a reputation for himself in New Orleans as a multifaceted musician who like a chameleon, fits perfectly in many situations without compromising his integrity. Mark toured the world and appeared in front of countless national TV audiences including the Tonight Show, The Late Show with David Letterman, The Conan O’Brien show as a member of the Harry Connick Jr. Big Band. Tori Amos, Sheryl Crow and George Porter Jr. all recorded their horn sections with Mark’s signature sound and solid arrangements while Mark also appears on recordings of Better Than Ezra, Rancid, Dag and Joe Henry. As the leader of innovative trombone-led bands such as the New Orleans rock group MuleBone and the ‘bone-laden funk band Bonerama, Mullins is changing the way people think about the trombone. Thomas Riccobono has been instructor of low brass at the Interlochen Arts Academy since 1996. He holds degrees from the Eastman School of Music, Penn State University, and a performers’ certificate from the Cleveland Institute of Music. He was a concerto winner and soloist at Pennsylvania State University and Florida State University, and a solo competition winner at the Eastern Trombone Workshop in 1996. Mr. Riccobono has also performed with the Savannah Symphony, Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Rochester Philharmonic, Milwaukee Symphony, Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival Orchestra in Salzau, Germany, Spoleto Festival Orchestra, (Italy). Mr. Riccobono is principal trombonist with the Traverse Symphony Orchestra and conducts the Gaylord Chamber Orchestra and the Encore Wind Symphony.
