Letter from the editor The Premiere Magazine is still a the next issue. Black voice for fashion, art, and all things creative. It is a platform Peace and Love to showcase Black beauty and to help maintain that mindset that Black is beautiful and luxury. We shape the world with our minds, hearts, and souls. This past year has been tough on a lot of us and especially me. I, for one, did not want to see Premiere die. This is something that needs to be here for our community. I will be curating this magazine myself and ensure that it maintains its level of artistry and creativity. This issue is the start of a new era for premiere, but still features familiar faces such as Tyinghe who shot the cover, Rashad and his photo series Sanctuary and many other photographers we have covered before. One of my favorite spreads is by the collective mĀK. mĀK is an art collective created for femme and nonbinary POC by Howard University students. Their photoshoot Negros with Guns highlights the importance of gun ownership and the strength of Black women all in one, which came out beautifuly. So this is the official comeback issue, the “we aren’t quite done with yall yet” issue, the keep creating issue, the keep pushing issue, the keep staying the path issue, the pick me up issue, the try try try again issue, THE PHOENIX ISSUE! Making this issue put a battery in my pack and I hope it did the same for you all. Hope you enjoy and see y’all in 8 Premiere

It was very important to me that we depict not only Black people, but Black women in powerful stances with the gun. Simply put, we out here and we will shoot back.
