The Columbia Engineer THE DEPARTMENTAL UPDATE OF THE ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT, USS COLUMBIA

WARP ENGINES ONLINE LT AL DAVIES, CEO Welcome As I am sure you already know, I am the Chief Engineer aboard USS Columbia and I’d like to officially welcome everyone into the new Engineering Department. Some of us are new to STARFLEET and some of us are new to Engineering but we are all new to the USS Columbia. I think we should not underestimate this opportunity. We can now make this ship, and department, whatever we want it to be. I think a good start would be

to have some way to track our progress. And in time-honoured STARFLEET tradition, surely the best way to do this is to use a newsletter – of sorts. Newsletter Therefore, ‘The Columbia Engineer’ is born; the new mini-newsletter of the engineering department. (Creatively named to boot) Submit alternative name suggestions and articles to my email address: engineering.chief@usscolumbia.net Projects Next up, it is time we got some .............. .......... ......... .......... ......... .......... .......... ......... .......... ....

projects off the ground, I’d like some input from you guys on what you’d like to pursue. Do we want to design the bridge and main engineering, engage in role playing or fiction writing? Would you like to design a shuttle, or even a ship? I would like all engineers to write a little to introduce yourselves and share your interests (As long as you want – 20 words to a 1,000,000). Include any projects you would like to work on. I look forward to hearing from you all. Please send submissions to my email address.
