Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP)
What is the CSFP? How can it benefit me?
The CSFP is a federal assistance program focused on improving senior citizens' health that live with an income level less than 130% of the federal poverty level. The resources available to those who qualify for the CSFP include the following:
A free monthly package containing nutrient-rich foods to cover meals for 10 days and help maintain a healthy diet, valued at $55.
Recipes specific to each month's box that will helps in maximizing the number of meals a person can prepare using the ingredients in the box.
Nutrition education.
Who qualifies for the CSFP?
To qualify to receive benefits from the CSFP, one must meet the following criteria:
Be a Utah resident.
Be 60 years of age or older. Have an annual income that is at or below 130% of the federal poverty guidelines.
Once certified to receive benefits, certification will have to be renewed annually.

If you do not meet the CSFP requirements but are homebound with a disability, you may qualify for our UFB Food Box Program. For more information, scan the QR code* on the next page.

To participate in the CSFP, fill out an application and submit it to Utah Food Bank (UFB), which directly operates the program and distributes food to the program's participants. Applications can be found at the QR code on the next page.
Packages are delivered monthly to a delivery site determined by the UFB. Along the Wasatch Front, packages may be delivered directly to homes or to senior housing. Outside of this area, packages can be picked up at other sites that will be assigned near where you live.
What happens if I don't pick up my box?
UFB has a no-show policy for people that do not pick up their boxes. Violating the no-show policy will result in you having to forfeit your benefits. See all the information pertaining to this policy by scanning the QR code below.
Meals on Wheels
The Meals on Wheels program provides nutritious meals to seniors. These meals are delivered to your home and are ready to eat. The program may vary depending on your city, and you may be asked to make a voluntary donation toward the meal you accept.

Senior Center Meals
Many senior centers offer low-price congregate meals at their facilities for anyone 60+. Find your local senior center, when these meals are offered, and other details by going to the QR code* on this page.
Seniors Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP)
Do you know that any senior who is 60+ years of age and 185% at or below the federal poverty limit are eligible for this program? The SFMNP is a program that provides participants with $50 in vouchers to use at participating farmers markets and community centers across Utah. These come in a booklet of 10 vouchers that can be redeemed for $5 each.
Present your CSFP card or enroll onsite at the information booth at the farmers market, and the voucher booklet will be provided. The SFMNP is an annual benefit and can be used only once a year.
