Fairy Mentality

A Fairy Mentality is a series of self-portraits. Each of my characters are representations of parts of my own personality as fairies, whose fairy magic I have loved since childhood, seemingly bringing endless possibilities of life for me. This project is an exploration of what they mean to me now.

The premise of my project is that although we adapt and change according to context we may bring with us costumes used as a kind of barrier against exposure of our own vulnerabilities. A Fairy Mentality helped me to explore my own personality traits in an attempt to connect all the pieces together.
