• All students, faculty and staff can participate in UTM RAVE Alerts – an emergency textmessaging system.
• All residence halls are staffed with resident assistants (RAs). RAs provide information about activities, events and policies, and assist students with roommate conflicts, homesickness and academic concerns. RAs are trained to respond to a variety of issues to assist students or act as a referral resource.
• The Residence Life staff takes extra precautions to ensure the safety and security of residents through cameras, swipe card access, fire safety equipment, staff emergency response training and 24-hour response from on-call students and professional staff.

Students make all management decisions and report back to TVA, gaining real client/manager experience while utilizing a Bloomberg Terminal.
• Students travel across the country and overseas by participating in travel-study, study-abroad and global experiential-learning programs in various countries, including Australia, Costa Rica, England, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and Spain.
• The college sends a select group of students to the Super Bowl and other major sporting events each year as part of the sport business minor to assist with event production.

UT Martin is one of the most affordable public institutions in Tennessee. All tuition and fees are estimated based on 2023-24 costs. Students residing outside of Tennessee are considered out-of-state except residents of Fulton, Graves and Hickman counties in Kentucky.
To apply for financial aid, including grants, loans, workstudy and the Tennessee HOPE Scholarship (for Tennessee residents), you’ll need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at fafsa.gov. The FAFSA is expected to be available in December 2023 for the 2024-25 school year. UT Martin’s school code is 003531.

Scholarship Aviator
• Scholarship Aviator is a one-stop site for donor-funded and departmental UT Martin scholarships and has hundreds of opportunities available for new and continuing students.
• After admission to UT Martin, apply at utm.edu/aviator between Oct. 1 and Feb. 1 for scholarship consideration.
Tennessee Residents
TENNESSEE HOPE SCHOLARSHIP
• This scholarship is awarded by the Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation to qualified Tennessee high school graduates with a minimum 21 ACT (or equivalent SAT score) or minimum GPA of 3.0.
• First-year and second-year students receive $4,500 per year, and third-years and fourth-years receive $5,700 per year as long as continuation requirements are met.
• The FAFSA is the application for the HOPE Scholarship.
• To see if your high school qualifies or if you qualify as a non-traditional student (age 25 or older), visit tn.gov/collegepays.
UT PROMISE
• Tennessee residents, who meet UT Martin admission requirements, qualify for the Tennessee HOPE Scholarship and have an annual household income of less than $60,000 are eligible to receive funds from the UT Promise financial aid program.
• This is a last-dollar scholarship that will be applied after all other financial aid is received, including, but not limited to, Pell Grants, HOPE Scholarship and other institutional scholarships.
• Participating students will be matched with a volunteer mentor and must complete eight hours of community service each semester to remain in the program.
• This program applies to both tuition and mandatory fees. Housing, meal plans and other post-secondary expenses are not included.
• Students must meet application, FAFSA and service deadlines in order to be considered. For specific information on deadlines and requirements, visit tennessee.edu/ut-promise.
University Scholars Program
• University Scholars is the premier UT Martin Honors Program for up to 30 incoming first-year students.
• Qualifying students receive $2,500 per year in addition to their Chancellor’s Scholarship award of $3,000 per year for a total of $22,000 over four years.
• Students must qualify for the UT Martin Chancellor’s Scholarship to apply.

Merit-based Scholarships for First-Year Students
Merit-based scholarships start at a 3.0 GPA* and a 19 ACT** or SAT equivalent and are awarded as funds are available. Priority consideration is given to students who apply for admission prior to Feb. 1. Students are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships when applying for admission. Chancellor’s Scholarship recipients will also be eligible for a one-time travel-study stipend of $2,500 to apply toward a university-approved travel experience while enrolled at UT Martin.

Out-of-State Scholarships
CHANCELLOR'S SCHOLARSHIP OUT-OF-STATE WAIVER
• Recipients who are not Tennessee residents will have the out-of-state portion of their tuition waived in addition to receiving the scholarship.
• Out-of-state fee waiver valued at approximately $6,000 annually.
VOYAGER OUT-OF-STATE SCHOLARSHIP
• $5,000 per year for up to four years.
• First-year students must have a minimum 3.0 high school GPA to qualify.
• Can be combined with the Deans, Excellence, and Achieve scholarships, if eligible.

Housing and Residential Life
We make sure campus living is a positive experience. The UT Martin Office of Housing provides a fully-trained staff of residence hall directors and resident assistants who tend to the needs of residents through social activities, competitions and intramural sports.
Housing Reminder
First-year students attending the main campus are required to live on campus unless commuting from the home of parents or legal guardians in the Tennessee counties of Weakley, Obion, Gibson, Carroll or Henry or the Kentucky counties of Fulton, Hickman and Graves.

Martin is conveniently located to several nearby attractions that make for great visits while taking a study break. Reelfoot Lake, Kentucky Lake, Land Between the Lakes and Discovery Park of America are among the well-known destination points in the region. Martin is centrally located between Nashville and Memphis and is less than a 60-minute drive from Jackson and Paducah, Kentucky.
