Alabama’s Andrea Hawkins hit a two-RBI double in the top of the seventh to tie the game at 3-3. No. 8 Tennessee pulled out a dramatic win in the bottom of the seventh when Madison Shipman hit the game-winning RBI single down the left field line.
¢ March 9, 2013: Tennessee 2, Alabama 1 Rainey Gaffin had a key pinch-hit RBI double in the sixth inning to back a solid complete game by Ivy Renfroe and lead UT to the win.

CHAVANNE: TOP 3 FINALIST FOR USA SB POY
Raven Chavanne was named as a Top 3 Finalist for 2013 USA Softball National Collegiate Player of the Year on Wednesday. Chavanne and Oklahoma’s Lauren Chamberlain and Keilani Ricketts are the only remaining finalist for the prestigious national award. Chavanne becomes just the third UT player to be a Top 3 Finalist, joining Monica Abbott (2007) and Tonya Callahan (2008). Abbott won the award in 2007.

Raven Chavanne, Kat Dotson, Lauren Gibson, Madison Shipman and Ellen Renfroe were named to the 2013 NFCA Division I All-Southeast Region teams on May 16. Chavanne, Dotson, Gibson and Shipman were first team selections and Renfroe was named to the second team.
