Lady Vols Basketball Recap Tennessee captured its record 17th Southeastern Conference Tournament Championship with a 71-70 victory over Kentucky. The Lady Vols have now won four of the last six SEC Tournament titles and seven of the last 10. The program is 18-2 in SEC in the tournament since 2008. Senior Meighan Simmons became the sixth Lady Vol to score 2,000 points in her career. The Lady Vols season ended in the Sweet 16 against Maryland, even though Meighan Simmons scored 31 points in her final game. Men’s Basketball Recap After a run of three consecutive NCAA Tournament victories, the Tennessee basketball team season came to an end in the Sweet 16 against Michigan.
