Football Training Center Update

Vol Rep Fan Corner Question

The 2012 football season has officially begun, and construction continues on the new Football Training Center. Hopefully, everyone who was able to attend Vol Rep Training Camp on August 25 enjoyed the tour and sneak peek of the new facility. As the building is completed in phases, the team and coaching staff are preparing to make their move during our bye week at the beginning of October.

This month, our Vol Rep Fan Corner Question comes to us from a question asked at Vol Rep Training Camp. Q. Can I designate my Tennessee Fund gift to a specific UT sports program? A. It depends. Annual gifts cannot be designated but gifts toward specific projects can be. If you are making an annual gift to the Tennessee Fund (especially for ticket and parking benefits), this gift is designated to the Athletics Annual gift fund. This fund supports UT sports programs and provides the necessary resources each year for annual student-athlete expenses, such as scholarships.

New Tennessee Fund Staff Member We are pleased to announce Caroline Bevillard as Assistant Director for Development and the newest addition to the Tennessee Fund staff. Her primary responsibilities will include oversight of donor parking and the gift-in-kind donation program. If you have not yet met Caroline, please help welcome her into the Tennessee Fund family this fall.

However, there are a variety of facility projects and endowments that donors can designate their gift specifically toward. For example, if a donor is extremely passionate about Lady Vol Volleyball, they could consider a commitment to the Volleyball Practice Facility project for which funds are currently being raised. For a complete overview of all Tennessee Fund giving opportunities, please visit www.tennesseefund.org. If you have a question concerning the Tennessee Fund or UT Athletics you would like answered and featured in the next newsletter, please email Lucas Moss at lmoss6@utk.edu.
