Basketball Nets Three Gold Medals This Summer
Jarnell Stokes is once again a FIBA gold medalist as U19 Team USA beat Serbia in international competition. Last summer, Stokes won the U18 FIBA Americas Championship. Stokes joins fellow Tennessee greats, Ernie Grunfeld and Allan Houston, as the third Vol to ever win multiple gold medals in international competition. Butch Jones among Nation’s Elite
Lady Vol stars Ariel Massengale and Clarksville native, Bashaara Graves, claimed gold medals for each of their respective teams in international competition in July. These are the fourth gold medals for each of the student-athletes. Massengale captured her gold at the World University Games in Russia, while Graves captured hers at the U19 FIBA World Championship in Lithuania. Please take time and congratulate these Lady Vols!
