FIRST NCAA RPI OF 2012 RELEASED
The NCAA released its first RPI rankings of the 2012 season on Monday with Tennessee coming in at No. 18. UT finished the 2011 season with an RPI of 33. Arkansas’ RPI is 105 and Missouri’s RPI is 9.
IYANA MOORE’S SUPER PERFORMANCES
On Sept. 23, sophomore Iyana Moore pulled off a hat trick in UT’s 6-0 thrashing of Mississippi State. Moore scored goals in the 40th, 64th and 67th minutes, enjoying the best offensive performance of her career. Moore has one three-assist game on the season (vs. Samford (Aug. 17) and one three-goal game on the year. When Moore has a triple-score or triple-assist game, UT is virtually invincible, outscoring its opponents 10-0 in those two games.
WILKINSON IS ON FIRE
Sophomore forward Hannah Wilkinson has thrived since joining the starting lineup. Wilkinson has started and scored in each of the last four games, netting four goals off 21 shots (eight on goal). Last week at Mississippi State, Wilkinson scored the eventual game-winner in the first 16 seconds to open the contest.
SHUTOUTS
Tennessee has posted six shutouts so far this season and the Lady Vols have nine regular-season contests remaining. The school record is 12 shutouts, which was set back in 2003. The 2011 UT soccer team posted 11 shutouts.
