Tori Bailey scored the gamewinner in UT’s 1-0 win over No. 11 Missouri on Sunday. Bailey has scored four goals in her UT career and all four have been gamewinners. The junior is enjoying her best season in 2012 with a career-high two goals and one assist for five points.
ON THE ROAD
Tennessee is 3-2-1 on the road this season. The Lady Vols have averaged 2.17 goals and 0.67 goals allowed per road contest. UT has come out firing in the first half of road games, averaging 1.83 more shots before halftime than after halftime. However, Tennessee’s second-half attack has been just as relentless. The Lady Vols are averaging
4.83 second-half corners on the road compared to 2.5 before the break.
IN SEC PLAY
Head coach Brian Pensky’s aggressive offensive approach has been evident in SEC play. In UT’s six conference matches, the Lady Vols have out shot SEC opponents, 122-68, and enjoyed a 39-20 advantage on corners.
SHUTOUTS
Tennessee has posted seven shutouts so far this season and the Lady Vols have seven regular-season contests remaining. The school record is 12 shutouts, which was set back in 2003. The 2011 UT soccer team posted 11 shutouts.
