Tennessee defeated Missouri and Georgia Tech in the first two games before falling to No. 12/13 Georgetown. The Big Orange has an overall record of 6-1, with all of its victories coming by double digits. Junior forward Glory Johnson leads Tennessee with 10.6 rebounds per game and was named SEC Player of the Week on Monday.

The Lady Cardinals enter tonight’s contest with a record of 5-1. Lamar has rattled off five straight wins after dropping its season opener to Missouri State. The team returns six letterwinners from a year ago, including three starters. Last season the Lady Cardinals compiled a 26-8 record en route to a first-place finish in the Southland Conference West Division and an NCAA Tournament appearance. In the preseason, Lamar was selected as the favorite to repeat as the conference champion by the league’s coaches.
