• Tennessee is 10-5 in the city of Nashville during the Bruce Pearl era. • Last Saturday’s game vs. Georgia was the 600th game of Bruce Pearl’s career as a head coach. Tuesday’s contest at Vanderbilt is his 200th game as the head coach at Tennessee. • During UT’s Jan. 15 win over Vanderbilt, the Vols forced 21 turnovers. That is the only game this year that Vandy has had more than 15 turnovers in SEC play (12.7 avg). • Tuesday’s game matches the SEC’s top two scorers in league play, as Vanderbilt’s John Jenkins (22.2 ppg) and Tennessee’s Scotty Hopson (19.2 ppg) rank first and second, respectively. • Junior All-SEC candidate Scotty Hopson is averaging 25.7 points in UT’s last three games. The Hopkinsville, Ky., native set new career-highs in each of the last two contests (32 vs. UGA on Saturday). • SEC Sixth Man of the Year candidate Brian Williams had 10 assists in UT’s two games last week. The senior center averages 1.6 assists and has a 1.08 assist/turnover ratio this season. • Tennessee’s average home attendance this season stands at 18,667. That ranks fifth nationally behind Kentucky, Syracuse, Louisville and North Carolina. • UT boasts the nation’s No. 2 “strength of schedule.” See Page 3 for a few reasons why. • Tennessee has eight wins over teams in the top 55 of the most recent NCAA RPI (Pittsburgh, Vanderbilt, Villanova, , Memphis, Georgia, Missouri State and Belmont). • The Vols have defeated three ranked opponents this season, toppling No. 7 Villanova in New York City on Nov. 26, No. 3 Pitt in Pittsburgh on Dec. 11 and No. 21 Memphis in Knoxville on Jan. 5. All three contests were won in convincing fashion, as Tennessee led for a total of 114:30 in the three games combined (trailing for only 5:30 of game time).
