• The Vols have won their last seven home games against non-conference opponents from the state of Tennessee and are 41-4 at home against non-conference teams during the Bruce Pearl era. • The UT Martin game marks the third contest of a five-game holiday homestand for the Vols. • Tennessee has played three consecutive one-point games. • Over the last two games, Scotty Hopson and Tobias Harris are a combined 28-for-31 from the free-throw line (.903). • Tennessee averages 32.9 free-throw attempts at home this season and is shooting .704 from the line at Thompson-Boling Arena. • Hopson (15.6 ppg) and Harris (15.1) rank sixth and seventh, respectively, in the SEC in scoring. • The Vols are on a bit of a cold stretch shooting the ball from 3-point range recently. Over its last four games, Tennessee has made just 14 of 64 attempts from beyond the arc (.219). During that four-game stretch, UT has not made more than four 3-pointers in any single game. • The Vols are shooting .441 from the field at home this season. Tobias Harris averages a team-best 16.7 points at Thompson-Boling Arena while shooting .535 from the field. • The Vols already have defeated a pair of top-10 opponents this season, toppling No. 7 Villanova in New York City on Nov. 26 and No. 3 Pitt in Pittsburgh on Dec. 11. Both contests were won in convincing fashion, as Tennessee led for a total of 34:30 in the two games combined. • UT’s Dec. 11 victory over third-ranked Pitt in Pittsburgh was Bruce Pearl’s 450th career win as a head coach. Now in his sixth season on Rocky Top, Pearl owns a 134-49 (.732) record with the Vols. • The Volunteers won the 2010 NIT Season Tip-Off Championship last month at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Tennessee is just the second SEC team ever to win the prestigious NIT Season Tip-Off championship in the world’s most famous arena (Florida, 1987).
