The Razorbacks took a 2-1 win in the teams’ sole meeting in 2013 as inclement weather canceled two games of the series. The Lady Vols went 2-1 in their last trip to Fayetteville and are 8-2 in their last 10 games against Arkansas. ¢ The Lady Vols are 11-6 all-time SEC openers and won their conference openers the last two seasons and four of the last five. UT’s last loss in an SEC opener was a 9-6 setback at Kentucky on March 11, 2011. ¢ Tennessee is coming off a 15-0 (5) home win over Western Carolina on March 11. UT’s 15 runs in the win were a season high and the most runs the Lady Vols had put on the scoreboard since scoring 15 in a 15-5 (6) win at Ole Miss on April 20, 2013. The 15-run margin of victory was Tennessee’s largest since winning by 18 in a 19-1 (5) triumph over Tennessee State on April 2, 2013. The Lady Vols tallied 14 hits in the win, its most since knocking 15 hits in a 14-3 romp against Oakland on Feb. 9. ¢ Lexi Overstreet hit a two-run homer and Annie Aldrete blasted her first career grand slam and UT’s first grand slam of 2014 in the win vs. Western Carolina. ¢ Tennessee is batting .322 as a team. Madison Shipman leads the team with a .411 batting average (30for-73) and seven home runs. Annie Aldrete is batting .397 and has a team-high 21 RBIs to go with seven doubles, two triples and three home runs. ¢ The UT pitching staff has combined for a 1.20 ERA and opponents are batting just .174 against the Lady Vols. Ellen Renfroe is 13-0 with a 0.49 ERA and 113 strikeouts over 86.1 innings of work. She has held opposing hitters to a .155 batting average.

SCOUTING THE RAZORBACKS

¢ Arkansas, which is receiving votes in both polls, (196) is coming off a 6-1 loss at No. 20 Tulsa on Wednesday. ¢ The Razorbacks have been strong at home this season, going 12-2. Arkansas has eight hitters with batting averages .339 or higher. Clarisa Navarro leads the team in batting average with a .412 batting average. ¢ Six different Razorbacks have seen action in the circle and Arkansas’ ace is Grace Moll, who is 8-2 with a 1.96 ERA and 46 strikeouts over 15 appearances, 10 starts and 60.2 innings. ¢ The Razorbacks are hitting .349 as a team and their pitchers have combined for 2.74 ERA. ¢ All-time Series: UT leads, 32-12 and 12-9 in games played in Fayetteville.
