This marks the 45th meeting between the two schools dating back to the 1976-77 season. Tennessee will be looking to add to its 15game winning streak over the Lady Monarchs dating back to the 1996-97 season. The last time ODU defeated the Lady Vols was on Jan. 7, 1997, 83-72 in Norfolk, Va. UT fans will recall that loss and the famous Coach Pat Summitt speech in the HBO documentary, “The Cinderella Season.” “If you continue to work hard and play that way in March, you’ll be cutting down nets,” said Summitt.
