Tennessee Fund

November 2010

2011 Fund Drive Begins! As we prepare for another year of our annual Fund Drive, we want to start off by saying thank you to all of our Fund Drive Workers for your hard work toward last year’s record campaign. 2009-2010 marked one of the most successful years ever for the Fund Drive in for raising new contributions to the Tennessee Fund. This would not have been possible without your hard work and dedication in helping us make Tennessee great. This year, we hope to continue to build upon last year’s great success. In order to do this, we once again need your help. Fund Drive Kick-off meetings are currently underway, and our staff looks forward to visiting you and discussing the latest updates in Tennessee Athletics. Each year provides its own challenges and opportunities, and we are excited about 2010-11 as we all strive to continue the tradition of excellence that is Tennessee Athletics!

The Tennessee Fund is celebrating its 25th year during the 2011 calendar year. Since its inception in 1986, donors have contributed over $450 million through the Tennessee Fund in support of Tennessee student-athletes. This accomplishment could have never taken place without the passion and the pride of our loyal Tennessee fans. In an effort to celebrate this achievement, our office will be organizing a variety of promotions and activities during the upcoming year. For now, we are excited to announce two special priority point offers for the 2010-11 year! Double priority points will be awarded for all annual gifts received by March 1, 2011 All donors who increase their annual gift by 25% for 2011 will receive a one-time 25 point bonus (equivalent point bonus of a $2,500 gift!) Special events and newsletters celebrating the past 25 years of the Tennessee Fund are also being planned. Please be on the lookout for the latest 25th anniversary news during this upcoming year!

Mack & Jonnie Day Golf Practice Facility

Fund Drive Training Camp Thank you to everyone who attended this fall’s Fund Drive Training Camp. The event was a great success as attendees were treated to tours of the Lindsey Nelson Baseball Stadium renovations and the future site of the Football Training Center. Tennessee legend Gus Manning was also one of the guest speakers and shared stories from his experiences over the years with the group.

This November also marks the opening of the Mack & Jonnie Day Golf Practice Facility. This practice center for the Vol and Lady Vol golf teams includes a three-hole practice course, a driving range, and pitching and putting areas.
