The Vols posted a 1-2 record at the 1991 San Juan Shootout, with a win over American-Puerto Rico followed by losses to TCU and Miami (Fla). ¢ Oklahoma State returns four starters from last year’s 15-18 (7-11 Big XII) team. ¢ Travis Ford is a familiar face to Tennessee fans, as he starred at SEC rival Kentucky during his collegiate playing days from 1992-94. ¢ Senior OSU center Philip Jurick is a native of Chattanooga, Tenn., who originally signed with UT out of East Ridge High School. He redshirted the 2008-09 season before transferring to Chattanooga State and eventually landing at Oklahoma State. Both players started every game. Smart led the team in steals; Stokes was second in scoring and rebounding. ¢ OSU assistant coach Chris Ferguson was an assistant coach at Tennessee from 1997-2003 before serving as UT’s associate head coach from 2003-05.
