A TENNESSEE WIN WOULD...  Give the Vols a three-game road win streak in SEC play.  Give UT its first back-to-back wins over Kentucky since 1999.  Be Tennessee’s first win at Rupp Arena since Feb. 7, 2006 (75-67).  Give Cuonzo Martin a 2-3 head coaching record against Kentucky.

¢ In league play, Tennessee boasts the best scoring defense in the conference, holding SEC opponents to just 58.0 points per game. ¢ Kentucky, meanwhile, owns the best scoring offense in league play, averaging 80.3 points in SEC action. ¢ Also in SEC play, Kentucky (+15.7) and Tennessee (+11.7) rank first and second, respectively in rebounding margin. The Cats lead the league in rebounding (45.0 rpg), and the Vols lead the league in rebounding defense (27.7 rpg). ¢ For each of the last seven meetings in this series, the team that wins the rebounding battle has won the game. ¢ The Kentucky series is UT’s oldest and mostplayed among SEC opponents. The Vols and Wildcats first met on Feb. 5, 1910, and have clashed 216 times over the years. ¢ Kentucky is one of only three SEC schools (along with Alabama and Missouri) to lead its alltime series against the Volunteers. ¢ No program in college basketball has logged more wins over Kentucky than Tennessee (67). ¢ The Vols have beaten the Wildcats just four times at Rupp Arena, posting victories in 1977, 1979, 1999 and 2006. ¢ Tennessee has defeated a John Caliparicoached team six times since he returned to the college game in 2000-01. See Page 3. ¢ Underclassmen account for 98.8 percent of Kentucky’s scoring. Upperclassmen are responsible for 83.8 percent of UT’s points this season.
