 This “BIG MONDAY” tilt marks the 22nd meeting between the two schools dating back to the 198384 season.  Tennessee won 20 consecutive over Notre Dame before the luck of the Irish prevailed in the Elite 8 game in Dayton, Ohio, last March.  This marks the Lady Vols first trip back to South Bend since Jan. 5, 2008, when the eventual 2008 NCAA Champs, led by Candace Parker, took an 8763 decision in the fourth all-time sell out at the Joyce Center on the Notre Dame campus.  This past summer a pair of Lady Vols and a trio of Irish were on the USA team at the World U Games.
