NOTEWORTHY NOTES TENNESSEE VS. KENTUCKY: 12-11-0

Tennessee holds a 12-11-0 edge in its all-time series against Kentucky. The Wildcats have won four of the last five meetings, including the last two games. Oct. 14, 2011: Kentucky won, 1-0, in double overtime in Lexington. UK’s Natalie Horner scored in the 106th minute off a give-and-go with Kelsey Hunyadi. Nov. 2, 2011: Tennessee took a 2-1 win in Orange Beach, Ala., in the SEC Tournament. UK led in the 11th minute with a Kelsey Hunyadi unassisted goal. Emily Dowd scored the equalizer in the 13th minute and Chelsea Hatcher scored the winner in the 77th minute off a free kick by Kylie Bono. Oct. 12, 2012: Kentucky won, 1-0, in Knoxville. UK snapped UT’s three-game winning streak when Kelli Hubly scored in the 70th minute off an assist by Arin Gilliland. Oct. 11, 2013: Kentucky won, 4-1, in Lexington. Arin Gilliland had a hat trick with three goals before halftime. UK’s Caitlin Landis also had a first-half goal to give the Wildcat’s a 4-0 edge at the break. Caroline Brown scored UT’s lone goal in the 65th minute off a cross from Hannah Wilkinson.

TENNESSEE MAKES 8TH TRIP TO SEC SEMIS

Tennessee has qualified for the SEC Tournament semifinals for the eighth time in program history (2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2011). UT has advanced to the SEC Tournament final five times in its previous seven semifinal appearances with four tournament titles (2002, 2003, 2005, 2008) and one runner-up finish (2004).

TENNESSEE’S LATE-SEASON SURGE

Tennessee is enjoying an incredbile two-week stretch that started with a Senior Day win vs. then-No. 21 Missouri. Over the last two weeks, UT is 3-0-1 and has outscored opponents 10-5. UT’s shots on goal have improved drastically over the last four games. The team has a .526 SOG percentage in the last four games compared to a .374 SOG percentage over the previous 17. In the last four games, Amy Neal has scored three goals, Hannah Wilkinson has scored twice and posted two assists and Cheyenne Spade has two goals.
