Jessica Spigner was 2-for-3 with a home run. Erinn Webb added a clutch three-RBI triple in the fifth to push UT’s lead to 4-0. Cat Hosfield struck out six over seven frames to earn the win in Norman.

8-0 START IN 2013 NCAA TOURNAMENT
Tennessee went 3-0 in the Knoxville Regional, 2-0 in the Knoxville Super Regional to get to the World Series and the Lady Vols are 3-0 so far in the WCWS. This is UT’s first 8-0 start in the NCAA Tournament. UT has had a 7-0 NCAA start in 2010 and finished third nationally.

Lauren Gibson hit a first-inning homer. Lexi Overstreet drew a bases-loaded walk. Ivy Renfroe fired six strikeouts over 4.2 scoreless innings to earn the win. ¢ DEJA VU Gibson’s first collegiate home run was against Texas’ Blaire Luna back in 2010. Her first at-bat in Game 11 was a solo homer to left off Luna.

Tory Lewis hit the game-winning RBI single in the bottom of the seventh. Whitney Hammond’s smart baserunning put the winning run on third. Ellen Renfroe fired 10 strikeouts in a two-hit shutout. ¢ 3-HITS FOR LEWIS Lewis went 3-for-4 in the game. Her three hits were a season high and tied her career high she reached twice in 2012. ¢ DOUBLE DIGIT Ks FOR ELLEN With her 10 strikeouts Ellen Renfroe registered her fifth double-digit strikeout game of the season. She is 5-0 in those games.
